Had our first @greendolphinproject event in Evanston, IL this weekend in collaboration with @ChicagoScubaMeetup. Great turn out with the combined groups, adults and children!

The largest amount of trash we found were cigarettes butts, bottle caps and multitudes of plastic big and small.

Join us for our next clean up in Akumal with. @godivemex next January, 2025! Details to follow!

Stumbling along the land and water in Baja is like stumbling into gold! Whales, dolphins, mobulas, sharks and all other types of fascinating creatures. Grateful to have my partner Andre Greber on this one! The full film is almost ready in it's entirety so be on the lookout for that. Until then, enjoy these few snaps.

I just wanted to make it clear that I do not advocate going somewhere to have a sloth "encounter". Rather, I wanted to highlight how this creature lost it's parents due to human inflicted habitat loss. Without human care in the very early stages of life, this little one would not have survived. Unfortunately, they were not able to reintroduce it back into the wild, in it's home in Guyana.

A big thank you to @croc_curator and @wildlifediscoverycenter for introducing me to Hazel. Everyone loved Hazel, a Linnaeus’s two-fingered sloth. Hazel came from parents who originated in Guyana and were injured from deforestation. As a result, she became orphaned and couldn’t survive on her own. The curator has been raising Hazel since she was only a few months old. I am so grateful for sanctuaries and people that take on such a big responsibility of giving creatures a great home in light of their devastating circumstances brought on by man.
