Since we returned to the UK, we have not stopped spending time with family, friends and repairing our neglected house. As well as reviewing some incredible products that we have begun sharing on here.
It has been MANIC to say the least!
We are currently up loading a new video as I type this, documenting our first full day back at our house together, as we started to get to work on the garden and visit a few favourite haunts of Willow's.

Our first ever e-bike review is now live.

Did you know that we recently started a ‘new’ YouTube channel.
We say ‘new’, but we are actually revisiting the start of our trip.
Back when we started posting videos, we had no idea what we were doing. We had never recorded or edited a video before and it kind of showed.
Re-editing our videos has been something we have wanted to do for a while and so we have finally decided to go ahead and do it.
We have also felt for a while that the algorithm really doesn’t know what to do with our channel. Are we a VW channel? A van life channel. A channel for van life with cats. Or a travel blog.
Our hope is that by reposting our videos with a clear title and description, YouTube will have a better understanding our what our channel is about. So far, our first couple of videos are proving this correct. With our first four videos receiving more views from searches.
If you are an avid follower of our journey, we invite to join us on this new YouTube adventure and relive the early days of this trip.
Please don’t feel like you have to subscribe if it if not something you are interested in following. As we’ve learnt with this channel. Growing subscribers doesn’t guarantee views and we would rather it be a smaller channel for people who really enjoy watching our travels ❤️

When we started this channel, we knew nothing about creating YouTube videos and just tried to put together clips of our trip alongside songs that we enjoyed/thought would go well with the video.
Over the years, we have received more and more notices about copyright problems and have had to cut so many parts out of our videos, or place YouTube verified music over all of the audio.
Our early videos weren't great to start with, but now they are almost impossible to enjoy.
And so... I have been thinking about revisiting our early videos and putting together a condensed documentary about our time in the US and additional ones through Baja, Mexico down to Nicaragua, where our videos no longer suffer from copyright issues.
What do you guys think about this idea. It would obviously be a lot of extra workload on top of keeping up-to-date with our current stuff.

As I am sure you can appreciate... The last couple of weeks have been tough. Physically and mentally.
We've worked incredibly hard to get Ruby back on the road once again on a very limited budget, whilst also trying to document and post everything online and not to lention dealing with multiple problems with both of properties back home.
For the past year, we've worked incredibly hard to keep posting content about our trip. Photos, videos and posts... As well as trying to reply to all of your amazing comments.
The problem with social media once you get monetised is that the platforms always want more and constantly remind you that you have comments you haven't replied to. Your latest video only has a few hundred views compared to your previous one and so you end up spending even more time trying to do better. Chasing the carrot at the end of the stick.
We love sharing the ups and downs of our trip and hope that it inspires others to follow in our footsteps one day. Hopefully with pointers of things to do differently 😂
BUT... We are both exhausted. And as desperate as we are to try and keep posting content to try and make a little bit of money to help keep us going to the end... We need a break.
We want to really appreciate being on the road again and not constantly watching it from behind a camera or an editing programme.
We want to spend our mornings practicing our Spanish or reading a book whilst having our morning coffee, not editing photos or videos.
So... We're going to have a break from social media, but we wanted you all to know that it's for good reasons and hope it doesn't come across really pathetic. You would think that quitting your jobs to travel the world in a VW would be easy and one big holiday, but we never planned this and getting this far has been tough.
We will be back soon.
