Hi everyone! I've been getting quite a bit of new subscribers and comments despite not posting for a while, so I wanted to give a little update:
In one of my previous videos (sock knitting, maybe?) I mentioned that I got a phone call with really good news. That was a call to schedule an interview with a job that I applied for and /really/ wanted. And I got the job! I started at the end of August and completed 6 weeks of pretty intense training. Also--I'm still in grad school--I graduate in December (thank goodness). All of this is to say that I have been SWAMPED. I really want to make more videos, but it seemingly takes me 10 years to make one so I just can't spare the time right now. My fingers are crossed that the New Year will bring a new camera (because I've been using my phone this whole time) and newfound free time.
Thank you all for sticking around despite my absence! I'll be back 😎

Things have been /extremely/ chaotic since I last posted an update. I'm still working on the crochet top and hope to have it finished this week! In the meantime, would y'all be interested in a life update / Q&A video to celebrate our building a community of over 600 (!!!) subscribers?

CW // Loss
Hi friends. Thank you all who voted for this week's video it was super helpful. The next video will be of my crocheting the Ada Top by Cucurucu Crochet and snippets of my trip to the Contemporary Handweavers of Texas conference. I'm super excited about this video and the top. I've been wanting to start this project for several months and never got the courage to start. Thank you for giving me that. I can't wait to see it finished.
However, I'm not okay this week. My family and I have just experienced a terribly tragic loss and the grief is vast and deep. The finishing of filming and editing this video, while productive and probably good for my healing, is just not something I can bring myself to do right now. I need some time to come out on the other side of this. I hope to have the video out next week. Thank you for being here, and thank you for understanding.
