I don't understand YouTube's algorithm...
I make a 3 minute good quality video, and it barely gets any views. I post a 45 second video which I basically put 0 effort into and it gets over 1k views...

Anyways, YES, Secrets of GCR is still being worked on, don't worry. The video is almost entirely done, but I still need a few more people willing to provide voice recordings for a few characters.
Two roles are available, please DM me on Twitter (@Off_The_RailsUK) or Discord (@offtherailsuk). VOs who have successfully made it into the casting(s) will be treated with an early viewing of Secrets of GCR prior to its official release, so that any issues can be ironed out.
I will wait for the 1.2.8 update to roll onto GCR, then remove/replace any outdated Easter eggs that no longer apply to the newer version. New Easter eggs will very likely be added to the video, meaning it will be longer than 15 minutes. Original clips that still apply to the new version will be kept and once the final version is complete, it shall be posted onto the channel.

I have a quick question for you all.
Should I start moving my best medal clips to this channel? I haven't been uploading a lot recently so this could be a temporary solution while I wait for my GPU.
I will of course be putting more quality into the clips as I now have access to Sony Vegas.

Quite an important announcement!
I have been given a couple of names by the wonderful OneMoreGame (youtube.com/@OneMoreGameUK) and have chosen to rebrand my channel as a trial.
The name will be changed into "OffTheRailsUK". I honestly think this is a better name than my current one.
It has been a long time since I've started the channel and I have been thinking for months now about a refresh, so here it is.
If the rebrand is received well, "TrainLover106" will become a thing of the past, only found in older videos and images.
What will be changed? Over the coming days:
- The username will be changed to "OffTheRailsUK" on both YouTube and Twitter. This may also include any other social medias.
- A brand new logo will be put in place with the acronym "OTR", instead of a standard image of a train.
The logo will at first be the simple "OTR", however I will share a few design changes over my discord server and YouTube community polls. You can vote which ones are better.
After the trial, a poll will be held to see if the rebrand is preferred over the original
Once again, many thanks to OneMoreGame for suggesting this wonderful name to me. (I honestly couldn't think of anything).
**TL;DR** - I'm rebranding my channel and logo to "OffTheRailsUK" as a trial run to see if it is preferred to over the original one.

Just a quick moment, if you all mind reading.
I am okay with people sharing my videos through links and such, but this is just absolutely unacceptable.
I will not tolerate people taking my videos, either from YouTube or third party sites then uploading them as their own or not giving credit to the original clip owner.
Here's the example that I have just found by @hihello1477 who has taken one of my clips and uploaded it as their own with no credit or information listed in the description:

I know this was 7 months ago, but has still happened regardless and action will be taken upon this user (Who presumably has also stolen other people's content). This message is to everyone. Don't plagiarise other people's work and pass them off as your own because the video will be eventually found and even legal action can be taken.
Oh and here's the video file which is being uploaded here directly from my phone where the clip still lays, key notes that tell me this is 100% my clip is the driver making the announcement as well as the person recording me for filming trains that day who boarded at Clapham Common.

Right I've made an update to my profile picture. Taken quite recently at St Neots (Just like the previous pfp) this is unit 91 *106*, which matches the number on my channel name perfectly. There may also be a new channel banner however this may take some time to create.

Sad that I'm even thinking about this but, here we go. I need to address this.
Unfortunately, due to me no longer being allowed to go out for leisure purposes (Unless it's for commuting to places), there is a huge lack of videos being outputted by me as this channel is based mainly off outdoor videos (Trainspotting, vlogs, etc).
I can of course do videos relating to games, but none of these gain any traction compared to train videos. Let's take an example of these two videos: "Train horns and 2 tones V11" and the "It is possible to kill others with The Rocket Jumper".
These two videos were posted 6 days apart with an immense different in views. The horn compilation amassed just over 1000 views in the span of 5 months. The rocket jumper video gained only 88 views in that same time (Not to mention that these views only lasted for about 5 seconds on average). Additionally, one video was just smacking clips together; the other actually had effort put into it. You can see the difference there.
Of course there are exceptions which are the door opening videos of SCR and Train Simulator (How the first SCR one gained around 115k views, I don't know) but these are only because they're either from a long time ago or people really love staring at moving doors 🤔
As a result of there being very limited views on game videos and the inability to travel outside to record vlogs, there isn't much use on this channel anymore. I can't go outside and aren't motivated to record videos on my computer (Because of low viewership).
I'll be straightforward here. I might not be making any more videos for a *long* time or indefinitely. There are still some videos like Secrets of GCR (V3 now) which is in the making that I will upload, and the BVEWR 1996 stock mod that is still being worked on, but any others just seem as if they are not cared about by anyone whatsoever.
Another trend I have noticed is that when I stream, you guys vote for a game, I stream it and virtually nobody watches. I held a vote on this a couple of weeks back (At the time of writing), streaming Train Simulator won and only about 5 people watched it at the highest point. Please, if you're going to vote for something, actually watch it because it wastes my time if nobody cares about it enough to watch.
If it ever comes to me not uploading videos under any circumstance, the channel will be kept open so people are still able to watch these videos. The only way for this channel to go back into regular activity is if I have good ideas that you all would love to watch or if generally, the public like these videos. Because at the moment, it seems that this is not the case.
If you have managed to read this far, I thank you. If you gave up on the first letter, here's your TL;DR:
• I am unable to go outside for leisure purposes.
• No videos will be uploaded for a long time or at all.
• I have no motivation because of low viewer counts.
• Gaming videos will only be made if people pay attention and watch throughout without leaving in the first 10 seconds.
• If you've voted on a game for me to stream, actually watch it instead of wasting my time.
• Channel will still be open if it comes to the point where I don't make videos anymore.
• Few videos in the making which will still be uploaded
