Kadampa Center for the Practice of Tibetan Buddhism was officially founded in 1991 by Don Brown to provide a place for the study and practice of Tibetan Buddhism following the lineage of Lama Yeshe and our current Spiritual Director Lama Thubten Zopa Rinpoche. The word "kadampa" refers to those who are able to see the Buddha's teachings as personal advice that applies immediately to their own lives.
Under the guidance of our resident teachers, Geshe Gelek Chodha ("Geshe-la"), Geshe Palden Sangpo and of FPMT we offer a full range of programs that cover all aspects of the Buddhist path. We host teachings by eminent Buddhist masters, offer courses for beginning and advanced students, and provide space for individual and group meditation.
All events at Kadampa Center are offered free of charge.
Live streams can start anywhere from 30 min to 5 min before the scheduled start time. Please see the "Upcoming live streams" section for scheduled start times.
