Wanted to share that Gamenoob, with your help, just got accepted into YouTube's partner program, so it is now a fully monetized channel. 2024 off to a good start.
As mentioned in my last video, I'll still make videos on Age of Noob to cover exclusive info on new AoE titles/DLCs/releases and keep you folks updated with my insider access. I might also occasionally make videos geared towards onboarding new players to AoE4. I have a few ideas about the aforementioned, and I think these videos will have more impact, even if sporadic.

Quick update! :)
First, I want to share something with you all. I was first introduced to the Aztecs and Mayans in AoC as a child tens of thousands of kms away. Over two decades later, I was able to finally visit Chichén Itzá in person as an adult. If there are any subscribers from Mexico, you folks have a beautiful country! ¡País muy hermoso! Here's a photo of El Castillo that I took a few days ago.
I am now back home from my visit, and I have a few videos planned for the holidays. Since the Sultans Ascend DLC has been heralded as the most successful DLC in AoE history, I'd like to make a few videos for newcomers to the game. These videos will likely not be useful for experienced players, so please bare with me as I build a playlist for brand new players to make their transition to RTS — and especially AoE4 — a lot smoother.
Finally, thank you all for the 40,000+ subscriber milestone. The 100k subscriber goal does not seem like an unrealistic dream anymore. Hope you all are having/will have a great holiday break.
Hey folks — I've decided to take a short break, as I've been having some migraines the past few days. Will be back to cover the remaining civs of course, and I will do a small giveaway as well. Stay tuned. :)
So, a quick update to you folks. I'm almost done editing the first video, and it's a quick summary of all new unique units coming to AoE4. The issue is that there are so many new unique units that a *_quick summary_* of all of them (inc. those you haven't seen yet) resulted in a ~20min edited video.
I underestimated the sheer amount of content, so I won't be able to deliver the civ reviews as quickly as I originally intended (Civ Review per Day). I have been going with Quality over Speed, but that comes at a cost.
Hence, I wanted to ask you folks once more: would you rather wait longer for more in-depth videos, or get the info asap in shorter bursts? Going with the example indicated above — instead of a 20-minute video covering all 6 new Civs' unique units in one go, you'd get a ~4min video per civ.
Hello everyone! I'm head down editing the next batch of actual content, and I wanted to ask you folks what you prefer. Currently, the plan is to release one detailed Civ Review per day (and a Short of that ~6 hours later) once the embargo is lifted. That's 7 days of back-to-back content (14 videos in total), including a video at the beginning where I will cover all new unique units.
That said, the plan is to cover the Byzantines and Japanese first, but would you prefer a Campaign Summary/Review video third, and then the rest of the civs? Or do you want the Campaign covered last, if at all? Vote below!
Note: I can't share much now — but I think, personally, that the new campaigns are MUCH better than the originals.

- Jeanne d'Arc (French Variant)
- Sultan's Army (Abbasid Variant)
- Empire of Jade (Chinese Variant)
- Order of the Dragon (HRE Variant)

Hello all! Quick update for upcoming content on Age of Noob.
The Sultans Ascend expansion for AoE4 has a humongous amount of content to cover, so I wanted to reassure AoE2 viewers that AoE2 content will continue once I cover the fundamentals of the expansion... it's just that it may take a month or two. I'll then return to alternating uploads between AoE2 and AoE4 as usual after that.
Of course, when AoE2 gets a new DLC, I'll take the same approach then with DLC coverage as the focus first, then back to alternative uploads after.
Excited to share all of the things the Devs have been cooking for some time! :)
