Hope your weekend has gone well :)
I'm happy to share that I'm working on my next Fear and Hunger Lorethrough; Osaa's Journey to the West. I'll probably call the video "Mage of Rot and Fire" since I really like that name and is accurate to what build I use with Osaa.
In my last Fear and Hunger 2 Termina Lorethrough I used Abella and mostly relied on the Meat Grinder to get through the game. For this video, I did two run throughs with Osaa
1 - I live streamed a while ago, using Rot and the Meat Grinder. A lot of encounters ended up too similar to the last lorethrough for my taste. Since I'm covering the same game I try to vary what I can. So I did a 2nd run through rocking magic
2 - The second run through was mostly relying on Magic, as opposed to physical attacks. Osaa was rocking the Death Mask and dual Chac Chacs to really drive up the magic damage, and I mostly used "Scorched Earth" in combination with "Dual Combustion" which worked wonderfully
So in this lorethrough I'll have footage both builds, Physical (meat grinder) and Magic (burning everything).
I'm also got a few ideas on the narration, on how to keep things interesting. Osaa is one the outsider character, the only one that is not native to Europa. Likewise I didn't grow up in the "developed" world, then moved to North America, so I'll be trying to draw upon my personal experience of traveling to new more powerful parts of the world and my experience adapting to new circumstances, and becoming familiar with new enviornments and cultures.
Also, Osaa having a background as a Yellow Mage and having visited the Dungeon from the first game makes for some interesting narrative opportunities. I think to keep lorethroughs interesting I'll be trying to narrate them from the perspective of the Character more and more, so that it's not the same thing over and over again.
Since lorethroughs take a while to record I was trying to keep the video to the essentials aiming for 2 hours, but when I finished putting the video together it came out to nearly 4 hours. I still have to do the narration and then the final edit so i'm nowhere near done and I'll probably the video down some more, but I think it'll probably be around three hours.
For the background music, this time I'll be throwing in some tracks from "Forever Winter", "Pathologic 2", "Resident Evil", "Dark Souls 3" and more
Thank you for all the views, comments, shares and support. I appreciate it and like making these videos.
Be well

Happy Friday!
It's a quiet end to a busy week, but I hope you are well in these crazy times. I'm exhausted, but wanted to share this absurdity I made for a short, and felt it needed to get out into the world. I hope it gets a chuckle out of you.
It was a busy week, but did want to share that I started my first ever art class. I wanted to mention that a lot of the feedback I got back when I started doing gaming videos about AI art did sink in. I'm start a short, unimpressive art class through my local library. On the first day we practiced using charcole to make line and mass gesture sketches of the human form. Mine were laughable, but everyone was really nice and supportive which I appreciate. My hopes is to keep practicing over the years, and hopefully be able to make some of my own art in time. But it's a long road and i've only just started. I'll share some of it when I don't feel so embarrased by it.
But for now dear viewer, I leave you with this absurdity I made of Jack Baker from Resident Evil 7. Yes, you might have seen the backdrop before that I used for a Tanaka (Fear and Hunger 2) short once.
Be well, take care, later

How do you feel about Youtube creators revisiting early work?
When I made some of my earliest videos (What is the Machine God, Dungeon of Fear and Hunger and City of Fear and Hunger), i was brand new to content creation and I hadn't really made very many gaming videos ever.
It's been about a year and a half and since then I've grown, learned (no longer use AI images), and evolved as a creator. There's a lot to learn in terms of making videos, sound quality, audio balance, editting, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and so forth. Not to mention I've played so much more Fear and Hunger since then, I know the games FAR better
The thought has repeatedly cross my mind if I should revisit some of my earlier videos and give them another try. Revise/expand the script, rerecord the audio, redo the visuals.
What do you think of "remake" videos? How do you feel about creators redoing and updating early videos?
I'm curious what the community thinks, I'm on the fence and kinda want to give some of my earlier videos another try.

Which do you think is the best pursuer enemy type in Survival horror? And why?
In my most recent video we examine the horror behind the mysterious image of Pyramid Head, and examine the effect he has on players comparing him to other pursuer monsters in horror, such as Nemesis from Resident Evil 3, Jack Baker from Resident Evil 7 and the Crow Mauler from Fear and Hunger. We will compare and contrast James' struggle against the geometric foe and Jill's fight against her tyrant as she attempts to escape Racoon City
Pursuer monsters are an overwhelming and persistent threats that will hunt the player throughout his or her adventure, rarely giving the player a chance to catch their breaths and surprising them once they have gotten too comfortable.
Of course, a monster is more horrifying when it is linked to something greater, something more long lasting. In the case of Pyramid head, he is haunting since he represents what we all carry inside of us, like regret and pain.
Another aspect of pursuer monsters is their origin. Jack Baker and the Crow Mauler show how a monsters backstory and make them a richer part of the game world, and a scarier and more tragic figure. Both the Crow Mauler and Jack are unwilling participants in the nightmares they were caught in, they didn't want to succumb to the darkness and madness, but they had no option. It invites the player to ask themselves if they could resists the darkness, or if we are all suceptible to becoming monsters in our own right, giving in to madness or darkness

Thank as always, please take care of yourself in this crazy world. Peace

Hello everyone! Hope you are well.
Apparently January is commonly a "vacation" month of Youtubers, since there is a drastic dropoff in add revenue after the Holiday advertising season. I'm taking the time to play some games (Just beat "Miside" and "Space Marine 2") and also putting some time into other ventures, mainly getting more experience in Photoshop, learning the basics of Blender and putting in some time into writting some original fiction. I'm also taking some time cross post shorts to Instagram to so as to not put all my eggs in one basket.
My goal is to be able to eventually create evocative images to couple with stories. You might have seen my first post talking about this last week. Here are three more I've put together. I recognize that these are still amateurish, but I have to start somewhere. What do you think? Which one do you think catches your eye the most? And why? Let me know. Just FYI, images are made on Photoshop, mostly via photobashing. I did use some AI features, but mostly it's heavily editted images I've stitched together. The dog on the beach is AI generate using Adobes Gen AI features.
I'm still not too old (yelp) and I'm hoping that over a few years I can get better at throwing together more captivating and eye catching images. I also hope to start publishing, probably via Amazon Kindle, my own fiction with my weird perspective on things and calling upon my experience traveling and being an engineer in tech over the years. Besides, its not like the world we live in doesn't give tons to write/comment/rant about. But learning how to write well is it's own journey that will take time and practice.
In the end having spent time making content I've really grown to enjoy it and I want to branch out. It gives me a creative outlet to balance out my corporate/technical career and I just really like it. The good thing about not relying on Youtube to pay the bills is that it gives me a lot of leeway to work on what I enjoy without worrying too much about the algorithm.
So which image do like the most?
6 - 8
When I first started making gaming content I was using a lot of AI generated images. It was something new, a novelty, and I was coming from a data science background so naturally I was curious about these new technologies.
Over time I kept hearing more and more from the community, how AI models scrape work from artists to use to train models that'll profit wealthy companies with no compensation. I also started to see a lot of the limitations of gen AI, along with the lack of cohesion and soul in the images they generate.
I also just binge read 3 of Simon Stålenhag books.
In short, I've been trying to learn more and more about digital art using photoshop. So here are a couple of images I made today just trying to learn to get better at photo shop.
Admittingly, a bit janky, specially the galaxy one, but gotta start somewhere. My goal is to be able to express ideas I have visually via my own work. I've also been wanted to branch out in terms of content creation from just making youtube gaming videos. Hopefully I will someday be able to create visuals for my own works for fiction. Time will tell
So i "made" this in photoshop and wanted to share. No AI, just photobashing and heavy editting. Hope you like. Take care

I've always heard, and agree, that a content creator should branch out to multiple platforms, so giving that a try. Besides I have hundreds of shorts that i might as well upload to other platforms.
You never know when YT might decide to strike down your channel for no reason. I've heard a few scary stories from much larger channels that can be wiped out or demonitized in a single day with no stated reason.
Anyways, if you use other platforms and would like to hear/see more of me, please use one of the links above and follow me on a different platform
Hope you are enjoying the last day of the year, and are filled with positive memories of 2024. Thank you for watching my videos, I'm flattered

Thank you.
As we close out the year and settle in for the winter festivities, it's easy to look back and reflect on the year. I can't tell if the year went by fast or slow, feels like a weird combination of both, but i do know I wanted to say thank you.
I was able to spend the first 6 months of the year as a full time content creator, which was a ton of full, and being a full time dad. For the 2nd half of the year I started a job that I enjoy and treats me well, but I do have a lot less time for making videos. At least the bills are paid.
I'm really greatful to have a chance/time/opportunity to make videos for yall. Be it full time or part time, it's always flattering when people watch your videos, like, comment or share. It's a great distraction from work, it's flattering, I don't know why yall watch these, and in the end I feel it enriches my life.
So thank you for your time and choosing to watch my videos. I don't know why you do it, but i'm thankful for it. Merry Xmas, Happy Holiday, Happy Friday, Good Winter, Feliz Navidad.
Be well :)

Hope you're well, and you're enjoying the Holiday season/Winter Festival/ Whatever it is right now.
I'm also getting into Shadow of the Colossus, might make a video on it, but i don't know what i'm doing right now.
There's also a August Mod for Fear and Hunger 2 I kinda want to check out..... you know what... as I am typing this I just realized i should do a joint Ragv/August lorethrough. Well ok maybe i'm not making a video on Shadow of the Colossus. I need to plan things out, this is starting to read like a stream of conciousness.
Anyways... thank you for watching my videos, making them is a great break from having a real adult job
Anyways Anywas..... God of Fear and Hunger Vs Machine God... who'd win

Dear Viewer,
I did Tanaka wrong...
In a couple of my Fear and Hunger 2 Lorethroughs I mention how I would usually go for Tanaka at the very start of the game. My goal would be to unlock his +1 Agility skill to help getting double actions in combat when you get 16 Agility.
But many of you told me that I was missing out on his full story, his growth and friendship with Marcoh, and his heroic last stand at the Moon Tower, when he takes on August of Oldegard.
And yeah, I was I very wrong. Tanaka as a character is heroic, brave, and noble. His friendship with Marcoh is heart warming, and watching him grow from timid/shy business man to a powerful brawler is inspiring.
Also, if you read the note on the Judgement, you'll discover the only bit (that I know of) in the lore that describes what moonscorching is like.
So to help make up for my dismissing him earlier on, I wanted to tell his story, showing his comraderie with Marcoh, and all of the other parts of his story that is easily missed ( I know I did)
Tanaka-San, my hat's off to you. You are a endearing and inspiring character which represents the best that is inside each of us
So anyways, we Tanaka video dropping in a few days. Hope you like it, and that you're doing well this Winter. Be well, and thank you for reading this and watching my vids
