Weekend recap:

1. Furniture shopping but only to steal some ideas 😂
2. I love spending some time outside - fresh air and movement can do wonders!
3. Behind the scenes of recording some videos (I couldn’t come up with the exact word I wanted to use 😆)
4. We recently finished watching a show we loved and are going back to good old card/board games
5. The resemblance is uncanny (= it’s strange or surprising how similar 2 things look)

How was your weekend?

Are you curious about how to sound more natural when talking about future events? 🤔 English offers several tenses to capture exactly what you mean!

Simple Future: Use this to talk about definite actions that will happen, like “I will call you tomorrow.”

Future Continuous: This tense is great for describing actions in progress at a specific future time, as in “We will be travelling at this time next week.”

Future Perfect: Perfect for completed actions before a particular time, e.g., “She will have submitted her homework by Thursday.”

Future Perfect Continuous: Best for emphasising how long something will have been happening, e.g., “By next year, I will have been learning English for five years!”

Understanding these helps you add clarity and confidence when talking about future plans or predictions.

Can you give us an example sentence using one of these tenses? Comment below with your own example!

Back to grammar basics today - because understanding tenses is key to improving your speaking skills! 🕰️ We’re breaking down the Simple Past, Past Continuous, Past Perfect and Past Perfect Continuous tenses.

And remember, it is important for you to practise your grammar when speaking. Learning grammar and not using it in your speech (or not talking at all) is like learning the lyrics to a song and never singing it...

Now it’s your turn! Drop a sentence with each tense in the comments and let’s see who’s most creative! 😎👇
