We went to the pumpkin patch the other night & had so much funnnnn 🍁✨ It was a time well spent & very much needed with our god family 🫶🏼 I even got to meet a few of my mini-followers! Took lots of pictures & captured one of our interactions on video (parents said I can post it) ☺️ I’ll be getting that video out tomorrow!

My family & I went out to brunch & to our surprise, when it was time to pay for our food, we were given this note 😭😭😭 our entire order was PAID FOR 🥺 the way my jaw literally dropped! We didn’t even get a chance to say hi, hello, thank you, nothing. They had left 5 minutes after we were seated. So, hopefully this post gets to them. Alyssa, your kind heart & generosity should never go unnoticed. We decided to take your kindness & pay it forward to the table next to us. A mother, father, and their little boy (who was so sweet to baby Jayde and played with her the entire time) 🥹💓 & don’t worry, we tipped the waitress for our table and the one behind us! Some days it’s hard to notice the impact I’m making in the community & beyond. But, simple reminders like this always bring me back to why I chose to teach in the first place 🫶🏼🩵 everyone, have a blessed day! This is Jaylinn. She was in my class my very first year of teaching. A few days ago her dad passed away 🕊️💔 When her mom told her, guess who she wanted to talk to? Me. Mrs.James. Her kindergarten teacher from TWO YEARS AGO. So here I am, it’s 10pm on a school night, & I’m sitting on the floor in my garage on the phone crying my eyes out with this sweet little girl trying my absolute best to comfort her and hold in my tears. “I’m just a teacher” is what I kept thinking. But truly, we spend so much time with these children that we create these bonds with them that they hold onto for life! I realized at that moment that I am not just her teacher, but I’m also her friend & her family 🥺 I come to the community asking for your help. The family is struggling right now with getting together money for funeral expenses. As you all know, I teach at a Title 1 low income school. So, it’s challenging for our families to come up with thousands of dollars overnight. If you can share this post to get it out to others, the family would appreciate it. They have been doing car wash’s here in Vegas (off of Eastern and Owens) but they could still use some help. Even if you can’t donate, it’s FREE to share this post. Thank you everyone. & I know I don’t post gofundme accounts but this hits very close to home. I see this little girl every single day 😣 I truly couldn’t imagine losing a parent so young 😩
