āLet nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of othersā. (Philippians 2:3-4 KJV)
The Philippian Church that Paul established was in a vicious spiritual battle with the demonic influence of the culture and Paul didn't want the Church to begin to turn on one another but to remain "Unified". We as Believers in Christ face the exact same fight today! Every Christian Marriage, Family, Church, Ministry and especially Businesses! I said "Especially Businesses'' because "Marketplace Ministry" interacts more closely with the "Culture" so they are more susceptible to the Culture but have one of the greatest opportunities to be EFFECTIVE for the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth by displaying and showing the World what our Father expects from HIS creation and desires for HIS creation! This can only occur by the "Anointing" of the Holy Spirit through Character, Integrity, Unity and by the Grace of God! God's people must stay focused and keep things in proper "Perspective". In the scripture today the Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul wants to remind us that we must be "United" and work "Cohesively '' and not selfishly! Our enemy is satan who works through the Culture to entice us to align with ungodly entities and worldly tactics to advance the Kingdom! We are not each other's enemy and must view one another as fellow "Spiritual Siblingsā of the same household working together! Paul warned the Church at Philippi that as they functioned to let NOTHING be done through "Strife" and "Vainglory"! Strife comes from the word "eritheia" which means work done merely for hire (as a mercenary), referring therefore to carnal ambition (selfish rivalry),acting for one's own gain, regardless of the discord (strife) it causes. When we carry the mindset of competition or it's just about "ME" and what I can get for "ME" to shine and not really caring how you get it, then that becomes extremely counterproductive and is a "Worldly Cultural" mindset and not Kingdom! The difference in "Vainglory",although similar, is "Vainglory" comes from the word "kenodoksĆa" which is "a state of pride which is without basis or justification ā 'empty pride, cheap pride, vain pride'". This is when you just think your "IT" for no specific reason, just thinking nothing can happen without you! In other words just doing "The Most" and being "Extra" thinking you are way more than you really are! We can't lose sight that James 4:6 says "But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God RESISTS THE PROUD, but giveth grace unto the HUMBLE." Let us remember that He Commands a Blessing where brothers and sisters dwell together in "Unity"! God Bless you Family! Let's make our Father Happy! Be Encouraged!

For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.
(Luke 8:17 KJV)
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
(Ecclesiastes 12:14 KJV)
One thing that satan cannot stand is to be exposed, revealed or uncovered! The same holds true as it relates to mankind. Reason we hate to be exposed is because when we keep secrets we function in a characteristic of satan. When we truly understand who God is, you understand that there is no such thing as secrets. I am not advocating for everyone to know every detail of our lives. There is a distinct difference between guarding your life from intruders versus hiding things that bring satisfaction to struggles and secret desires. For instance everyone May compliment your clothing but you hide the fact that you really have a shopping addiction. The reason you have a shopping addiction is because you have insecurity issues so you feed pride by making you feel important by drawing attention to yourself. This may sound extreme but as a believer in Jesus Christ it should never ultimately be your external appearance that draws people's attention to you! You may even lead people to believe that you had a sexual mishap, but in actuality you are promiscuous and struggle with continual sexual fantasies. The scripture reminds us in Hebrews the fourth chapter: "And not a creature exists that is concealed from His sight, but all things are open and exposed, and revealed to the eyes of Him with whom we have to give account".
(Hebrews 4:13 AMP). In the eyes of God we are naked and bare while we try to convince others with external coverings. True indeed the Lord should be the only one that we truly trust. According to scripture as a believer in Christ we should all have at least one person that we can confide in: "Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) is able to accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by Godāit is dynamic and can have tremendous power]. (James 5:16 AMP). The Lord set it up this way because HE did not create us to be in the world alone in our cubby holes of exclusion and communicating with no one. What often happens is when it comes to secret sins depending on what it is many of us may not feel comfortable approaching God initially. Then if we have trust issues as it relates to people it's easier for the enemy to section us off, weigh us down with condemnation and trap us in sinful cycles! When we get trapped in sinful cycles this is the time when exposure takes place. This is because what started as a struggle now has become a lifestyle and can no longer be hidden. You know how we start off saying it's not that bad I can handle it and then it begins to affect us mentally and financially. The seriousness of this discussion is that Christās judgment takes place whether it's good or evil. So if you fellowship with a sinful struggle and it becomes a lifestyle there will eventually be judgment upon it. None of us know when the judgment will take place but God knows our hearts and only HE knows when he's had enough. On the flip side there is a good aspect to judgment as it relates to secret things: "But when you give to the poor and do acts of kindness, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing [give in complete secrecy], so that your charitable acts will be done in secret; and your Father who sees [what is done] in secret will reward you".(Matthew 6:3ā-ā¬4 AMP). There's surely one thing that we should never be secretive about and that is our faith in Jesus Christ. We should be vocal about it and let it be known to the world around us. Do not live a life based upon secrets because if there is not a righteous core to the secret then the results of judgment can be devastating. This is a very challenging word but by God's grace we can all make the necessary adjustments. God BLESS you and may HE continue to keep you on this journey of life in HIM!

āāAnd as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them, [2] being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead. [3] And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide. [4] Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousandā.(Acts 4:1-4 KJV)
There is a very important lesson to be learned in the first four verses of the fourth chapter of the Book of Acts. It gives a clear picture of the power and unstoppable force of the ministry of Jesus Christ! I would like to highlight the Holy spirit led words of the apostle James: āBut wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?ā (James 2:20 KJV). So, if you are a professing believer and follower of Jesus Christ, then you should be working for HIM! I donāt simply mean just showing love and being nice to people. Iām referring to actively participating in working to advance HIS Kingdom on the planet. This text here in the fourth chapter of Acts actually begins in the previous chapter with Peter and John releasing their faith in Jesus and boldly declaring a lame man to be healed. They were well familiar with the power of Jesus to heal this man because their previous active involvement in the ministry of Jesus afforded them countless opportunities to see the power of Jesus on display. After the lame man was healed right outside the temple, Peter and John immediately began to place the spotlight on Jesus, teaching and edifying the people. This caused about five thousand people to become believers. When they began to teach the people concerning the unmatched resurrecting power of Jesus Christ, the ritualistic priests, captains of the temple and law keeping Sadducees became grieved and disturbed. This was rather weird because if anyone should have known the truth it should have been those who were familiar with the Law of God and accustomed to covenant rituals. We must be careful that we are not engulfed with understanding of ritual, ceremony and scriptural knowledge but miss the authenticity only found in true intimacy and relationship with Christ! The flipside is if you are in relationship with Christ then the active participation in HIS ministry work will insure unstoppable advancement through HIS power. The priests, captains of the temple and the Sadducees even attempted to restrict the vessels of the Lord but the work of God had already gone forth and was unable to be stopped. This showed the authenticity of the word the apostles preached and taught which was coupled together with endorsement of the Lord manifesting HIS power! I want to encourage you that even when you feel restricted, if you are truly working for the Lord, HIS power will come forth! HE always places HIS stamp of approval on what HE is doing! Continue to teach and preach HIS uncompromising word because the best is still yet to come! God bless you beloved! The Kingdom of our Lord has never stopped advancing!
