You need to be your biggest fan. Why? The creative path is long and it might take time to reach the goals you wish for yourself.

Cheering can help you on the way. It will support you through difficult times. If you’re lucky you’re mom will cheer for you. Or some friends. But the surest way to stay motivated in the long run is to cheer for yourself.

I believe in you because I know it’s possible. Believe in you too!

Share with a friend who needs some cheering on 🥳 And enjoy the olympic games 😊

What I'm personally most curious about is, what will it be? I'm excited to see it, to experience it!

You are yet to create your best work. Maybe in 5 years, maybe in 15, maybe in 50. But it's definitely coming.

What I'm personally most curious about is, what will it be? I'm excited to to see it, to experience it!

So, keep in mind, wherever you are on your creative path, chances are the best stuff is still ahead of you. Have fun exploring what it will be 😉?

It almost feels like I won't create it, I will discover it. Like an idea that drops into your head one day on a walk.

You discover it, more than you come up with it.

So, keep in mind, wherever you are on your creative path, chances are the best tuff is still ahead of you you. Have fun exploring what it will be 😉

What does it mean to look stupid? 🧐🤨

It means showing that you aren’t perfect.
That you don’t know everything. That you have ups and downs and make mistakes 😬

When you’re willing to look stupid, you’ll notice a liberating feeling 😌

Suddenly it’s ok to try new things out. To expose yourself. It matters less what others think 🥳

And that’s great for creativity. And mental health!

Let’s take 2021 with a pinch of humor 😊 It might still not be easy, it might not be the most productive one and we still might have to be patient. But that’s ok.
We wish you it would be better than 2020, even if just a bit!
Happy 2021! 🎆🌟

We have been a bit busy recently, but what have we been up to? 🙃🤔⇩

In the past 3 months, we have been attending the Artist Coach School by @thenewmfa 👩🏼‍🎨🧑🏻‍🎨

We have been learning, growing, overcoming our doubts and fears (and there were a LOT of those 🙈).

AND we were obtaining valuable knowledge that will help us serve you, our creative followers, even better! 😊

Another HUGE thing for us was also starting our first membership program: The Creative Compass 🧭🌟

We’ve been having live streams with our first members in the past month and having tons of fun!

So, here we are again and looking forward to the next exciting chapter with all of you! 😊

Keep@on drawing & stay creative!

You always hear: “Push yourself!” But why should you really do it?

Over the years, we have gotten pretty comfortable with sketching architecture and landscapes in pen and ink. There’s still room to improve, sure, but it’s not the challenge it was.

It felt like we were stagnating with our skills. It was not that rewarding anymore.

That’s why at the beginning of the lockdown we started pushing ourselves into new creative areas trying out techniques we haven’t done before.

Are we good at it yet? No. Is it hard? Definitely yes.

But it's also very rewarding. It’s how we have grown as creatives. And it’s also liberating to be a beginner in a field again.

So if you feel you’ve been stagnating for a while, a solution is to try something new. Try different drawing subject, try watercolors or oil, draw a self-portrait for the first time.

You’ll be surprised by what you’ll discover.

That’s what keeps getting through my head before every single post. 🙄

Did you know that our most successful post on Instagram got 150k likes? But that I almost DELETED it before posting? 😨

Yeah, I thought it was crap. But posting it showed me that we have something more to say than just post pretty landscape sketches.

On this path we were also IMANSELY inspired by the work of Austin Kleon ❤️

Two days ago Austin Kleon dropped this gem (the quote in the post) in a live stream and we just had to share it with you all (Mr Kleon, I hope we got it right 🙂).

So start posting your work and see what feels good. You’ll learn what resonates with others. But most importantly, you’ll find out what resonates with you ❤️
