*I said currently 220,000 but The U.S. state department page is saying as of 2023 around 300,000 Americans living in the Philippines www.state.gov/u-s-relations-with-the-philippines/#….
Others say 300,000 or 400,000 currently in 2024
Btw I coined this phrase and study #neosocialmediacolonialism as far as I understand (I could be wrong). Hopefully it will be studied more in the future...How different social media methods such as vlogging, are the new tool being used to colonize- influence and indirectly control other countries...

I wanted to take a moment to thank every single person that takes the time to watch the videos, whether they subscribe or comment or just watch...I'm always grateful and appreciate it more than people may think.
Yesterday I kind of went off on what was intended to be a humourous rant about how some Americans discriminate against Expats. Also colorfully discussed some expats entitlements with regards to Filipina's.
If that offended anyone or they were disappointed, I apologize.
I'm aware I've been discussing and critical of the American middle-class and the "Joneses" a lot lately...There's just stuff that's been on my mind for a long time that I've been wanting to get out and share...I was alone on this journey for many years and felt misunderstood by society.
You all have helped me do this hard and satisfying work over the road in recent months and it's helped my mind pass the time...
I keep true to the values on this channel and try to give the audience my best and honest observations and insights into different subjects of culture, psychology, humour, controversy, and positive encouragement for people who want to get outside the box and live abroad.
I've never claimed to have all the answers and I'm not without faults, and definitely have imperfections...But we learn and evolve as time goes on. I'm grateful for meeting other Philippines vloggers as well who have shown appreciation and kindness towards me. And I'm grateful for them listening to the channel even though I haven't met all of them.
The last year of being public on YouTube with you all has been a lot of fun and healthy...
I look forward to many more videos and adventures to come...This is just the beginning.
