Hey up lovely folks! Hope you don't mind the later than normal ARK episode that's to come a little later this evening. I wound up taking on a project that was rather a case of "I bit more than I can chew" - It's a project that I'm therefore splitting into a two-parter, the first of those to come later this evening! Thanks so much for all your support with the ARK content and with the channel in general lately, really appreciate it. With ARK here and the reboot of Python's World on my Minecraft channel (PythonMC), we've had a nice, strong start to 2025 and your support is what's made that possible so truly, thank you 🙂❤

I've decided I WILL go back to ARK Survival Evolved and I've been hard at work getting some mods installed to basically add as many QoL features from Ascended into Evolved. Very excited to begin actually! 🙂

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Due to a HUGE rise in running costs, it's with a heavy heart that I announce the closure of my website - pythongb.com/ - When I first set up the website, I wanted to do it right: To run it on my own server with the best of the best software on it to ensure the website was a safe haven for you to be able to download my Minecraft/Terraria worlds with no ads. The brass tacks of the matter nowadays though is this - The costs involved with maintaining the website are too high.
I apologise for this news. It's not at all how I wanted things to go down and certainly not how I wanted to start 2025 but sadly, darn near everything is becoming so massively expensive now. I never once made money from the website and I didn't want to out of principle, so as a result, I was always running the website at a loss and now... the losses are too much to realistically continue.
So please don't be alarmed if the website suddenly disappears from existence folks. Thanks for all your support ❤
EDIT/UPDATE: I'll instead be uploading all the Minecraft/Terraria world downloads to Google Drive and not Mediafire. I'll start updating the download links during the coming weeks, cheers for your patience folks!

If you don't celebrate Christmas of course, I hope you have a lovely time nonetheless 🙂 I realise that I haven't really done much festive stuff on any of my channels this year and I apologise for that. I've just been busy trying to get various series finished more than anything 😅 ...The Calamity Rogue Playthrough will be the last one to be finished of course, there's only a few episodes left!
The usual Annual New Year's Vlog/Update will be coming of course but up until then, take care, stay safe, enjoy this festive period and New Year's and much love as always! Thank you for everything ❤

Here's one for you. By all means, post your opinions and treat this post as an open forum, I'm interested to know your views. I definitely flip between believing that focusing on ONE series and thus putting all my energy into it and keeping it consistent is the way to go in terms of feeling like I'm getting somewhere with the channel (in my head if not via the numbers!) but then sometimes I feel that having multiple series is healthy because if, say, I'm bored with one, I can focus on another for a bit. I'm in the process of trying to get back to the former and not just on this channel. Recently there was a point where I had *FIVE* series on the GB and MC channel combined. Two series have ended recently (10x Spawns Playthrough & Skyblock Playthrough) and one more is due to finish by the end of the year, the Calamity Rogue Playthrough. I've definitely spread myself thin lately and as nice as a variety of series is to have at times, it got a bit much honestly! Certain series going too long without episodes and all that! 😅

As a little bit of a treat for the remainder of this month, I'm gonna REALLY be putting the hammer down on trying to get the Calamity Rogue Playthrough uploaded super regularly to the point where the series will hopefully wrap up in time for New Year's. Turns out pre-recording for a series I'm genuinely having a tonne of fun with is super easy, haha 😅😃
ARK is still going of course and after New Year's comes and goes, unless I think of a new Terraria series idea, I'll enter "hibernation" when it comes to Terraria, "waking up" when 1.4.5 finally does us the honour of being released! So that means after New Year's, this channel will become ARK only... for at least a little bit anyway! Hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and New Year when they come. Hey everyone! Just wanted to stop on by and say a HUGE thank you for all the birthday wishes in the previous community post, I really appreciate it a lot! I had a lovely day! 🙂❤
I also wanted to talk about my Terraria content if I may. I would make an update vid on the matter but honestly, everything I need to talk about can easily fit in just a community post here...
It comes as no surprise to anyone that my Terraria content is struggling numbers wise and as much as I imagine a lot of the reason for that is probably me, I think there's probably also a big part of it that's just folks getting bored of the game and moving on... or they're bored of waiting for new updates... or both! Now please don't get me wrong, I love Terraria, it's got a special place in my heart, I must love it to have kept my let's plays going after all these years of the 1.4 update in general (which released back in mid 2020 remember!) - The time has come though to admit... my patience is being strained too with waiting for the next update. I'll always advocate for game developers to release good products/updates rather than rushed products/updates, however, with that said, we have, in the meantime, been playing the same major Terraria update for over 4 years now! Combine that with the fact my viewership numbers are literally now below what they were before I got this channel back from its wrongful termination from way back in early 2014 and I'm left here feeling like I'm truly beating a dead horse. You know I hate mentioning the numbers side of things but that's the stark reality of where we're at now with the performance of this channel. Sometimes you just gotta be real with yourself!
So with that unfortunate talking point out of the way, my plan:
- Finish up the Terraria Vanilla 10x Spawns Playthrough and the Calamity Rogue Playthrough
- Unless I think of an idea for a Terraria series for after those, I'll return with Terraria when 1.4.5 comes out (whenever that is!)
I know I previously tried to "retire" from Terraria but honestly, I think we can all agree, just taking a break until 1.4.5 comes would've been the better path to go down. Hindsight is a wonderful thing eh? I'm a slow learner but I get there in the finish 🙂
As for ARK, that'll keep going. I'm not about to have a content black hole again on this channel! I'm STILL yet to finish an ARK playthrough and I want to change that, truly I do. I know I've tried many times but I'll let my actions speak this time instead of making any cast iron promises!
So yeah, thanks for your time reading this post. And a HUGE thank you for all your support over the many years I've run this channel. I ain't going anywhere. When 1.4.5 does us the honour of being released, I'll be ALL OVER IT, believe me, haha - Cheers for reading, hope you're all doing well and I'll see you in the vids, much love! 🙂❤

Today I turn 30... I've spent almost 14 of those years uploading gaming content on YouTube. I began doing so because I thought it'd be a fun idea after having watched a Minecraft Let's Play from SeaNanners back in 2010 in the Minecraft Alpha days. Time truly does fly when you're having fun! 😃
Not to get all sentimental but had it not been for all your support over the years, no matter how long you've been around for, I almost certainly wouldn't have kept on with this YouTube thing as long as I have done. Thank you everyone. Truly, thank you ❤
