🎶 Happy March 4th—aka Happy Band Day! 🎶
I feel so lucky to have band in my life. It all started in 4th grade when I started to play the French horn, then marching band in 8th grade, and now I get to pass that love of music on to my students! Band is such an incredible activity for students—it builds friendships, teaches discipline, and creates unforgettable experiences. It has also given me life-long friendships that I cherish to this day!
Thanks to joining band in school, I’ve been able to travel all over the country and even the world playing my horn. I wouldn’t trade those experiences for anything! Here’s to many more years of band fun and music! 🎵📯

Brian Strohmetz is an International Performing Artist and Educator. Brian holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from Moravian University, and currently is the Director of Vocal Music, Director of Theater and the Assistant Director of Bands at Toms River High School East in Toms River, NJ. He is a member of numerous musical groups including the South Jersey Pops Orchestra, Philadelphia Wind Symphony, and the Lighthouse Brass Quintet. Brian has also performed in Japan as a cast member of the show “One Piece Oto Utage.” As a Composer and Arranger, Brian has written for soloists, chamber ensembles and orchestras, including the Missouri Symphony, the South Jersey Pops Orchestra, Moravian University, and several Marching Bands in the New Jersey/Pennsylvania region.
