Today I had the pleasure of seeing the movie Gattaca and I have to say this one was amazing. The plot follows a man named Vincent as he struggles to achieve his dreams in a dystopian society where people face discrimination based on their DNA. This movie is intelligent, emotional and has an amazing soundtrack. If you are into science fiction/dystopia, you should definitely watch this movie. Seriously, this is a 5/5 from me.

So recently I got to watch a horror movie called Ma and I thought I’d make a spoiler-free review for it.
Honestly, I wasn’t a huge fan of this movie. I thought a lot of things that happened would have been avoided by characters having more common sense. There is a pretty common trope regarding horror movie characters trying to confront the villain with no help or extra securities and that definitely happens in this movie. There were numerous scenes where a character should have said something and for some reason they just didn’t. Not all the scenes really added up logically, and there were a few ideas that were kind of brought up once and not mentioned again.
That being said, those aren’t the worst sins for a horror movie to commit. I watched all the way through and it would probably be a 3/5 for me as a OK but not excellent movie. If you like the movie, let me know what you think below.

So this kid in my neighborhood set off his smoke alarm by trying to reheat pizza in the microwave. He set the time to ten minutes so it was that extra crispy stuff. You could literally smell it from multiple houses away 😂

The Super Mario Bros Movie: A spoiler free review
Recently I was able to see the Super Mario Bros movie in theaters with a few friends, and it was a really solid film. It was clear that its goal was to entertain in a funny way and I feel like it achieved that goal pretty well. The animation was incredible and the actors surprised me with some roles I wasn’t sure they would fit in. The music tracks were really good, especially a certain one that you will definitely know if you saw the movie.
My main gripe is that Luigi doesn’t have as much screen time as I wish he did, but at the end of the day even Luigi had some good moments in the film. Bowser was a pretty good villain, Mario and Luigi had good personalities, and Princess Peach was an interesting take on the character. I feel like most of the characters in the film could easily have spin-offs about them which is a testament to the design. Although the film was on the shorter side, it didn’t seem to rush through too quickly at least in my opinion.
