We are delighted to announce our feature film 'The Boxer from Somewhere Else: The Ken Buchanan Story' (Directed by Jamie Steedman) will be released in the VUE Cinemas on September 12th, 2025 at selected locations throughout the UK.
The film is a heart-warming feature documentary about the life and career of Ken Buchanan, one of Scotland and Britain's greatest ever boxers who became the world lightweight champion in 1970-71. I filmed with Ken for a year back in 2011 to make this happen and I am so excited to finally see it available for all his fans to watch. Even if you're not into boxing, it is a fascinating human story about life, struggle and achieving our dreams.
This is just the start of the journey, so if you can't make it to the cinema, please keep an eye out for future release information and it will be available to stream eventually also.
Locations are Cheshire Oaks, Edinburgh Omni Centre, Edinburgh Ocean Terminal, Glasgow St Enoch Centre, Manchester Printworks and London Shepherd's Bush.

Flayr FX is a post-production company run by Jamie Steedman, a London based motion graphic designer with over 18 years professional experience in the film and TV broadcasting industries. We specialise in all types of video and film post-production and offer services to edit and polish video and film up with graphics and much more. We can create videos that span across all types of published media from motion picture, to television and across social media platforms.
In 2023, we have also started our own YouTube channel which will showcase our own produced videos on a range of topics including production industry news, science and nature documentaries and future-technology focused topics.
