“Unknown Phantom” is OFFICIALLY out now.
Unknown Phantom is the first song I've sung that felt like one "only Ricky Montgomery could sing". That's not true, of course, but I often don't like the way my voice sounds and to have that feeling is a welcome change for me. It's written from the perspective of a kid at their first Halloween party. As we put the song together, we found ourselves reminiscing about those childhood firsts: first crushes, first parties, etc. It was a much-needed reminder of why I got into this art form in the first place: to make interesting, unique music, and it came together in just a few days. For those reasons, it's my favorite song l've been a part of for almost a decade.
