I think sometimes we need to be reminded of what's important in life!
It's ok to make moves in silence and put the blinders on to what everyone else is doing. Chasing someone else's success and strategy can be your own downfall!
I recently went down the rabbit hole of business help and motivational videos this week, preparing to hype myself up for 2025. But a few of the videos reminded me that:
Physical stuff doesn't matter. Your health, reputation, and relationships are far more important.
Attracting the right people in your life is the most important thing for your wallet and mental well-being.
The flashy things in life that you HAVE to have, will give you a dopamine hit, which quickly fades away. Causing a vicious cycle, mentally and financially. Comparing "up" can be great to push yourself. But it can make you less grateful for all that you have already achieved.
So, if you're worried about how many rentals you have compared to the next guy. Or how many dumpsters / trucks you have compared to another business. Just remember you are only getting a small glimpse of what their life is like. You are seeing the highlight reals. If you always chase what others have, you will always be disappointed.
They may not have the same family life, health, financial position, debt position, real estate portfolio, home-life, happiness, or stress level that you do!
You just never know.
We all have a unique journey. Be humble, be happy. And support others' success when you can!

We finally got the truck back to the shop, and it was a journey, to say the least. Video drops at 4pm central. We are officially beta testing a new MAXXD roll off system, and it's sitting on the back of this Kenworth! This is essentially a 1/1 truck at the moment. This is an awesome opportunity, but a risky one as well, because if the system fails, it jepordizes my Roll-off businesss.
