The Museum of Arts & Sciences (MOAS) is the primary art, science and history museum in Central Florida. The area's largest museum, MOAS is nationally accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and is a Smithsonian Institution Affiliate. Located on a 90-acre Florida nature perserve, the facility hosts over 30,000 objects collections on American, African, Chinese, Cuban, Florida and International Decorative arts, Florida's Giant Ground Sloth skeleton, a Children's Museum, a Planetarium, a Visible Storage Building, and a large collection of Coca-Cola memorabilia and Americana, including restored railroad cars and antique automobiles. MOAS is a not-for-profit educational institution founded in 1955 and chartered by the State of Florida in 1962. MOAS renews over 5,000 membership annually representing over 17,000 individuals.
