Hey everyone.
It looks like a lot of big YouTube creators out there, such as MatPat, are deciding to retire from YouTube.
The common theme I am seeing from multiple creators is that they are being honest with themselves.
Considering how long it’s been since my last video on this platform, I feel that you deserve a bit of honesty from myself as well.
I have a half day off work today, so I will plan on using it to make a video telling you why I haven’t been on this platform lately.
You will not want to miss this one so stay tuned!

Important update. Please read.
The reason it’s been so long since my last video is I have decided to take a break from making videos for the trombone channel so I can focus on another passion of mine.
As to what that is, I’m not comfortable sharing for 2 reasons. My personal name is attached to this channel and even if I told you what that other project was, you most likely wouldn’t care since it’s not even music related. That may change depending on how certain things go but for now I’m keeping it under the down low.
I know this is probably news you don’t want to be hearing but if there’s anything you should take away from this, it’s that if you only focus on how many followers or subscribers you have, you will never be happy with yourself, and that it’s always good to try new things.
Make no mistake, I’m not abandoning this channel for good or anything. I will come back to it someday because since it’s monetized I do make a buck or two from it, but it’s never really been enough for the amount of work I put into it.
As to when I’ll even consider making videos for this channel again, it could be up to 6 months from now (specifically the very end of 2023), but no matter what, I’m committing to myself that I’ll revisit what I want to do with this channel no later than then.
In the meantime, there is a place you’ll be able to find me, and that is my discord server. It’s a community of my subscribers who help, inspire, and share stories with each other.

One video about someone from the LGBTQ community is my documentary about Malawi McDonald. They (preferred pronoun) were a magnificent young musician who excelled on the bass trombone. Unfortunately, due to a rare genetic disorder, their life was cut short.
This is the second video I ever posted on this channel and the quality is much improved from the first one (about Arthur Pryor). Hope you enjoy!
