Hey, gang! I'm busy making videos trying to get ahead for this channel's third amazing re-launch on March 1st. Because third time's the charm right?
Anyway, preparatory to all that, I wanted to let you know that I never did hear from the winner of The Great 1,000 Subscriber Giveaway Contest. Therefore, it having been a couple of months (maybe three), I hereby officially declare that we are moving on to the First Runner-Up.
So, Richard Veith, the prize package is all yours! Please drop me a line so I can get an address to send the books out to. Or, if you don't want them — no shame, it was a kind of random assortment — please let me know that and we'll hit up the Second First Runner-Up!

Hey, gang! So, we hit the magic 1,000 subscriber mark, and, having waited a few days, it appears we are going to stay above four figs. That means your boogers are locked in! I’ll be posting a video within the week showing what’s in the giveaway package and drawing a name for the contest winner! So, stay tuned!

Bad news, gang. Just as we’re getting the channel back up off the ground, I’m out of a job. @goldin, which bought @ComicsandCollectiblesNearMe in order to start a “comic book vertical,” today let the entire company go, save for the former co-owners. Four of us, the entire Maine office, dismissed effective immediately.
The upshot now is that if this channel continues at all, there won’t be any more comic book unboxings, as I no longer have access to things to show.
As for what the future holds . . . who knows?

Oddly, however, after posting my first video in three months, I actually LOST a subscriber! I literally did better when I wasn't posting at all! LITERALLY!! 🤣

Hey gang!
Sorry no videos the last three days. Life + Work + Stuff + Things. You know the deal. But I do have four unboxings in the can that I am editing now and uploading starting today. So, we should be on track for 9am est tomorrow, and daily going forward, for at least the next several days. (I'm also filming some more today).
But I do have a question for you, to wit: Do you have any questions for me?
In order to stay on track with daily posting (must feed the algo!) I'd like to knock out a few short vids that answer (to the best of my ability, anyway) viewer questions. These will be used to plug in whenever I get behind on the regular unboxing/grading content.
I've culled a few from recent comments, but please feel free to submit any additional as you'd like, either here or by emailing duke@shanghalla.com (or via @Shanghalla on IG & T). Let me know what you want to know, whether it's on comic book history, grading, the back issue marrket, current industry news, or any other related topic.
