<Short version> Thank you for the nine years as a content creator on YouTube. I've come to the conclusion where I'm not pleased with the way YouTube has treated me recently and I need to focus on myself. I hope you can understand. Love, Secret Limited.

Hello and good day, I wish we were conversing under different circumstances. Addressing this in a professional manner is a bit challenging, but I want to be candid with all of you wonderful folks so you can better understand my perspective.
SEXUAL AND NUDITY NONSENSE
This year, my YouTube channel has been scrutinized closely. In early June 2023, my initial version of the 100 Rage Quit Video of DSPGaming was flagged for containing sexual and nudity content. The first appeal was successful, as it featured footage from the video game "Amy." However, ten minutes later, another report came in, claiming the Super Meat Boy section contained similar content. This appeal was denied, leaving me puzzled. Consequently, I decided to alter the voiceover and change the Super Meat Boy section's colour from red to green, although I wasn't entirely satisfied with this solution.
REUSED CONTENT NONSENSE
The final blow came when YouTube removed me from the YouTube Partner Programme in mid-June 2023, citing "Reused Content" after review. According to YouTube, "Reused Content" refers to videos that show minimal changes and lack the transformative quality needed to be considered unique content. I was given the opportunity to create a 5-minute video appeal showcasing my video editing skills and explaining the purpose of my channel. I presented everything I could from my side, demonstrating why my videos should not be labelled as "Reused Content."
However, even after the first appeal was reviewed, I was not reinstated into the YouTube Partner Programme. Their explanation goes by the quote, “Appeal didn't demonstrate enough value-add editing”. When I inquired through Twitter (or X), YouTube support advised me to try again in 90 days. While it was tough to accept, I reasoned, "Maybe I didn't showcase enough transformative work?"
On September 13th, 2023, I deleted some videos from my channel where the editing was minimal. Afterward, I reapplied for the YouTube Partner Programme, but once again, after five days, I was declined due to a reviewer claiming "Reused Content." I had to create the entire 5-minute appeal video once more, emphasizing why it was a mistake on their part. This time, I included a much larger body of footage to demonstrate how I transformed the videos in the timelines to make them uniquely mine. Yet, only eight hours later, the review yielded the same result: " Appeal didn't demonstrate enough value-add editing," and I remained ineligible for the YouTube Partner Programme.
Whenever I reached out to YouTube for assistance via Twitter, YouTube chat support, or emails, it felt as though I was communicating with automated responses (a bot). Each reply seemed to be a standardized template. I noticed that all of these replies and reviews were coming in between 8 am and 10 am BST (UK time). This made me wonder, where is YouTube support located? Asia or Australia, perhaps? It seemed unlikely that these responses were from staff working in American or UK time zones. Therefore, I suspect that the reviews are being conducted from that side of the world, potentially resulting in a lack of understanding of the content of my videos and my YouTube channel.
Additionally, I observed that my second appeal, as tracked through my YouTube Studio, did not show an increase in view count and remained at zero views. This raised doubts about whether it was reviewed by a human, as it's hard to believe a human reviewer wouldn't generate any views. I know YouTube can review rejected video appeals, as demonstrated in this example: [ Type "I'VE LOST MY MONETIZATION" into YouTube by Dj Cutman at timestamp 1:41-3:00 ]. Why can't my appeal be re-reviewed by a human? I've asked this question on Twitter and via email, but unfortunately, I've received no response. It feels as though they either don't care or don't fully grasp why a human reviewer is essential for understanding how a video is edited.
If you have followed and appreciated my videos over the years, you may have noticed the effort I put into giving them a professional feel through editing alone. I draw inspiration from TV shows and movies to select the best segments, establish a narrative flow between segments supported by sources, create my own graphics, and even hire voiceover talents. Every element in my videos originates from my creative process, and your investment of time to watch them means the world to me. Your support has been a source of immense gratitude, and without you, my media work would not have found its place on YouTube. For that, I cannot thank you enough.
However, if YouTube deems my work as "Reused Content" with minimal effort, it is with a heavy heart that I feel unable to continue in this gig anymore. While I can reapply in December 2023, I question the point. The likelihood of rejection is high, and it no longer seems worth the time and effort. As the videos were no longer recommended and the channel was effectively blacklisted upon my removal from the YouTube Partner Programme, my original intent to showcase my work from my unique perspective has been thwarted.
I understand that other content creators have faced similar challenges, with their channels flagged for "Reused Content," and many have likely managed to regain entry into the programme. Life isn't always fair, and I accept that.
LOOKING AFTER MY OWN FUTURE
This year has been particularly challenging for me, as I've lost several family members. Combined with family conflicts behind the scenes, I've done my utmost to mend things, but unfortunately, I've reached an impasse. The trajectory of events suggests that I may soon reach a breaking point, compelling me to consider my future and well-being. While I'm known for offering assistance behind the scenes, I need to look after myself and those closest to me. If you respect my work as a creator, I hope you can also respect my decision to move forward and seek improvement in all aspects of my life.
THE VIEWERS / FANS / AND YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE
I now fully comprehend the difficulties faced by most DSP Detractors in finding spare hours to create videos for YouTube amidst the demands of work, education, and family. I extend a hearty round of applause to you all. Regarding streaming, I've taken notice of the detractors who have been consistently active lately. I often find myself in the background, thoroughly enjoying the banter and humour while you discuss that nasty piece of work. While edited videos seem to be becoming less common, whenever I come across one, it brings a smile to my face. I won't mention names, but those of you who engage in streaming and content creation know who you are. Please continue with your great work, and I look forward to more of the same.
Additionally, I find it quite touching (in a shy, humble way) when my name gets a shoutout on streams or videos. I didn't realize how much I meant to you all. To be honest, I'm just an ordinary person—nothing extraordinary. However, I deeply appreciate the kind words across all social platforms, whether it's on Twitter, in video comments, on Discord, Reddit, or elsewhere. Your efforts in spreading the word about my videos mean the world to me, and for that, I offer my heartfelt thanks.
WHAT GOES INTO A SECRET LIMITED VIDEO
Allow me to share a bit about the production of my work, with the hope that you'll understand where I'm coming from. For instance, the Top Ten Worst DSPGaming Moments series has taken me 2-3 months to complete over the years. Let's say I begin in October for that year and wrap up by the end of December. Some years, the end-of-year videos may take even longer to finish, especially if the debut date falls after the new year. The process involves selecting the best segments for the video, creating a script with voiceover, designing 2D and 3D graphics, adding music, fine-tuning audio balance, introducing motion between shots, sourcing material online (e.g., the bankruptcy), and much more that I may have inadvertently omitted.
While the 2016 version only required 2-3 weeks of editing, as more eyes were watching, I aspired to elevate my work, infusing a more creative style akin to a documentary narrative. As Phil's situations grew more complex, I found myself covering more aspects in the videos, such as leaks, WWE Champions information, and the bankruptcy, among others. I hope you can appreciate the level of effort I invest in my videos, as it's not always an easy process. There are moments when I feel like tearing my hair out, as it can be quite demanding.
When I see content creators covering that nasty piece of work, I say more power to them if they choose to monetize their channel. If a content creator opts not to monetize, I respect that choice as well. The decision is entirely theirs, and I applaud and appreciate their individual choices. If I were to create videos, investing perhaps 10 hours a day, I couldn't gain anything from them (including being blacklisted from YouTube), it wouldn't be a worthwhile endeavour for me.

ABOUT SECRET LIMITED AND MY HISTORY
These days, I'm starting to feel my age, and throughout my career in the media, I often found myself not reaping substantial benefits. At times, people in the industry took advantage, hoodwinking me. That's the nature of show business.
Nonetheless, I did gain some valuable experience in the media field. I had the privilege of working briefly with the BBC, rubbing shoulders with both high-profile and Z-list celebrities. I also had the opportunity to contribute to a YouTube channel, where I watched the subscriber count grow from 2,000 to over 100,000. Most of the time, I pursued this YouTube channel out of sheer passion, often without compensation. Receiving the YouTube Silver Play Button Award meant a great deal to me, even though it has a rather subdued appearance. I've experienced my share of ups and downs in the media, which is why I now need to look out for my own well-being moving forward.

I understand that there have been suggestions for me to start a Patreon page or provide a PayPal link for donations to support my projects. While I appreciate the thought, I was raised not to accept charity or beg for money. It's not in my nature. I'd prefer for you wonderful folks to spend your hard-earned money on yourselves—on food, your loved ones, bills, and whatever brings you joy. You've earned it through your dedication and hard work.

Could I return in the future? Who knows, but given the current state of affairs on YouTube, it seems unlikely.
Lastly, some have suggested that Phil or his fans reported or flagged my channel. I don't believe that to be the case.

A bit of an update. My 2nd appeal got rejected again and I'm trying to fight it. I feel YouTube has given up trying to help this channel.
