Good day YT friends!! I have been on a creative break for over a year now and just today I thought about jotting down some notes and sharing a few thoughts with you.
1. There are a few reasons that influenced the decision for me to go on break - the biggest being the burnout I experienced in mid 2022 which lasted for a while and affected my health in a significant way. As I was ramping back up my health, and getting ready to produce more videos, the big tech layoff wave hit. Many people around me, including those who watched my vids, paid for my services in the past to land their positions, and those who used to be my mentors and role models, were impacted. This had affected me in a deep way and it just didn’t feel right to be tone deaf on YouTube broadcasting about career tips when many brilliant, experienced and beyond capable professionals were having a hard time on the job market.
2. This sense of powerlessness has also affected how I approached my side hustle and monetization of my business - I have since paused most of my coaching services (paid) and YouTube monetization deals, because any career advice is seemingly illegitimate or ineffective during this time, as we are not fighting with incompetence, but the downside of capitalism. And earning money from those who are desperate and would pay for anything for an opportunity feels very wrong.
3. Many of you have asked me during this period for other recommendations on paid coaching services, bootcamp, classes or other educational programs - though I still stand by my past recommendations (shared here on YouTube), I would highly suggest to go with free or more affordable educational resources rather than anything that brings you extra financial burden. This does NOT mean I don’t believe in paid coaching in the long run - there are many good coaches and career programs out there that charge quite a bit - for a reason. Good service provider’s time and distilled insights from their experiences deserve to be compensated fairly based on market needs. Do choose wisely though.
Posting this today as I have received quite a few questions lately about why the YouTube pause and additional career transition inquiries. There are still job opportunities out there, though scarce. Hang in there! <3

Hey peeps! I’ve been quiet… and wanted to send along a quick update. I’ve been battling with some health issues lately thus the pause on content production.
