Fresh off the back of his last single, ranking Number 5 on the AMRAP Metro Charts, Dean Ray’s new single, “Freedom”, is due for international release on Friday 30 December 2022.
Freedom, the second single off the Mr Man EP, is the first written collaboration between Dean and Megan Washington (including the delicate harmonies of Brisbane based Songbird, Ella Jones) depicts the fleeing of a commitment through a melancholy lens.
Freedom addresses the “emotional wall we tend to build around ourselves to keep us safe from heartache”. The realness of the lyrics is balanced by the gentle acoustic melodies maintained throughout the song.
