2004 was a fun time for British pop music. Girls Aloud had gone against reality television proto-type and were actually very good, Busted and McFly were strumming their guitars loudly and proudly and Natasha Bedingfield was enjoying success on both sides of the Atlantic.
Set against the frantic backdrop of morning TV shows such as CD:UK and Top of the Pops, V (comprised of Antony Brant, Kevin McDaid, Leon Pisani, Mark Harle & Aaron Buckingham) made a determined and honourable effort to convince the British public that all-singing/kind of dancing boybands were still a thing.
Working with pop production heavyweights including Stargate and Xenomania, the group released 3 singles and were popping up on television, radio tours and Woolworths CD signings before dropping their debut album in time for Christmas.
20 years later and all grown up, V.2.0 is now in motion with 4 of the band’s members reforming to release new music and perform shows across the UK throughout 2024 and beyond.
