When I bought this LEGO Friends set, I didn’t have any specific filming plans for it. I’d just rewatched the show a bunch of times and wanted it as a little keepsake—something to look at now and then to remember the gang and their apartments.
But then last year, Matthew Perry passed away, and that became my reason to finally bring it out and film something.
I actually finished filming this little tribute about a month after he passed, but I got caught up with other things and never got around to editing it—or even kind of forgot about it. Just a few days ago, I saw Friends’ official post marking the one-year anniversary of Matthew’s passing, and it reminded me of this file sitting on my hard drive. So, on a rainy typhoon day, I spent the entire day doing the final editing and sound work.
I hope Matthew, like Chandler, is no longer feeling alone.

Before sending Monkey back to JT Studio, I arranged all four characters from the GAKI RACE series together on the set for a photo. It looks spectacular!
Each character and their vehicle are eye-catching with distinctive styles, yet when placed together, the scene is harmonious and nothing feels out of place.
...I just love it so much.
When I shoot animations, I try to keep the number of characters in the frame manageable. Too many characters at once can be overwhelming, so even I am seeing this rare scene for the first time.

Looking back, this year's Christmas stop-motion is the only one that was on time in all these years 😂
Christmas stop-motion is one of the few recurring series in my past creations. Its hallmark is featuring crossover IPs and an assortment of characters who would never meet, coming together to do something Christmas-related.
My interests are really broad. Speaking of toys, most enthusiasts I know have a specific collection area, like exclusively 6-inch or 12-inch, cars or planes. Usually, they'll have a few items outside their main area, but not many big leaps.
However, my collection spans a variety of fields and characters, including Japanese characters, American comic heroes, Transformers, Gundam, cars, planes, LEGO, dinosaurs...
So, although strategically, focusing on one type of creation makes it easier to be remembered, I can't help it. Characters from all franchises touch me in special ways. So, in 2015(my 18th) , I started thinking, is there a theme that can reasonably bring all my toys together?
The answer was Christmas.
Interestingly, toys are often given as Christmas gifts, so I thought it would be fun to see a bunch of Christmas gifts opening their own Christmas gifts (?). That's how I started the first creation, and it gradually became one of the few themes in my work that's not about fighting.
From 2015 to 2023, I've produced four Christmas stop-motions. The two in the middle show that I was more focused on exploring style and technique (in plain terms, weak story but flashy visuals).
The first and the latest fourth are the only two with similar tones, and this latest one is the culmination I'm truly satisfied with.
(But it was super exhausting to make)
On the last day of the year, looking at these works, I'm reminded of my own journey, recalling the state I was in for each creation. These eight years have been a fantastic experience, and I'm thankful for the support of many old and new friends along the way.

This video was actually shot by me and my team before Christmas 2022. However, it took way longer to produce than expected, and then I got COVID. So, after some delays, I thought... why not save it for this year's release?
A lot of things has changed in my work, my life this year, This is probably the last time I'll make a video in this form. I‘m glad I get to share my work with you all these years. It'll be awesome if you enjoyed it. 🎉

🎃I remember the last time I went trick-or-treating was in the first grade. After that, Halloween and I pretty much lost touch haha...
Until last year, when @9gag invited me to produce a Halloween video for ［World of Tanks: Blitz］and I got to experience the Halloween vibe again as an adult🤣.
Today, I dug up some photos from the process of creating the set props back then. Our set designer was so professional, integrating desk elements with Halloween-related props to set up a desk scene full of Halloween ambiance. This allowed us to create the impression that the tank battle was happening right on the player's desk!
I really enjoyed working on this project.
我記得最後一次去要糖果是小學一年級，從此之後萬聖節就跟我沒有任何交集了哈哈…
一直到去年受9gag邀請製作戰車世界：閃擊戰的萬聖節影片，才在成年之後又一次感受到萬聖節氛圍🤣
今天我挖出了一些當時場景道具製作途中的照片，場景設計師很專業，幫我們用書桌元素結合萬聖節相關的小道具，搭出一個充滿萬聖節氛圍的桌面場景，我們才能營造出是玩家的桌上發生了這場坦克大戰的感覺！

Last week, I opened my studio to the public for one day, showcasing some of the products, toys, and scenes we've shot in the past. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to meet and interact with some of my fans in person for the first time!
