Take a careful look at the life of Methuselah and Enoch and you would see beyond a Father-Son relationship. Heavens' summary of their lives is worth notetaking. To one it is written "And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him." Gen 5:24. To another it is written "And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died."
What shall it be written of you? That you were one with many years with God or with many years with men. BE BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED.

A mathematician, physicist, and inventor he was, but most importantly Blaise Pascal was a believer, a child of the Most High, and a beloved of the Lord.
Today in mathematics we owe Pascal's triangle and probability theory to him, to honor his monumental contribution to fluid dynamics the unit of measurement of pressure bears his name.

Not far from his academic pursuits, he saw a convergence between science and faith instead of finding a divergence. Nowhere do we see it highlighted perfectly than in Pascal's Wager.
This famous quote brings to attention the probability relation and cost between a believer and an unbeliever.

The world may not want it but it needs it. The scriptures may be succinct but piercing.
Romans 10:14
But how will people call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how will they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher (messenger)?
Hebrews 2:3
how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,
Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
The scriptures speak for themselves. We have to be self-reflective and honest with ourselves. We may quote, 'I am not ashamed of the gospel' but when the opportunity came and the impression was heavy upon us, what excuse didn't we cook up so as not to present the gospel.
Lord grant us the boldness as the early church petitioned you, that we may drop off our many flimsy excuses and go unto the field. For the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few.
