What's it like in Indiana University? Honest Opinions Please!

https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianaUniversity/comments/wen3un/whats_it_like_in_indiana_university_honest/
Feels like high school 2.0, with the only differences being more freedom, a big campus, and less needless busywork (so far at least) Cons so far: long walks, blazing heat for the summer and presumably spring too, hard to navigate without using your phone map. It's been cool so far.

What is your overall opinion of Indiana University-Bloomington?

https://www.unigo.com/colleges/indiana-university-bloomington/what-is-your-overall-opinion-of-this-school
The college makes Bloomington a liberal, tolerant haven (for the most part) despite being located in Southern Indiana. IUB is full of school pride, both for the university itself, individual schools and programs, and sports (mainly basketball). Football is mostly for the tailgating, which is the best by the way!

From a non IUB student perspective, I went to IUPUI and absolutely loved it. While people like to designate it as a "commuter school" there really is an abundant student life. There are actually quite a few dorms, one of which is being renovated, set to reopen in the fall and the other is an old hotel.

Indiana University has one of the most beautiful campuses I've ever seen. (this actually remains true to today since I do visit the campus from time to time) It's got that old time classic college feel that just puts out a vibe of education. The city surrounding the campus isn't small by any means, but at the same time, it's not a big city either.
