Is Throne of Glass worth the read after ACOTAR? : r/acotar - Reddit

I read the TOG series first and really go into it, the later books are better, but overall its a good series! I read ACOTAR after because I enjoyed TOG so much. SJM's writing is perfect for me lol. I say give it some more time! If don't end up liking it no hate..

Yes, assassins blade takes place before throne of glass, but can be either read as 1st or 3d book, most people recommend to read it 1st! YES. I love ACOTAR but LOVE TOG. I agree with another post that said ACOTAR is romance with fantasy and TOG is fantasy with romance.

Question: Should I read Throne of Glass series? : r/acotar - Reddit

https://www.reddit.com/r/acotar/comments/zwgc5g/question_should_i_read_throne_of_glass_series/
I read ACOTAR before I read ToG. Loved Feyre at the time. Since reading ToG and going back to do an ACOTAR reread, I was shocked at how lacking I found Feyre to be. Aelin is just so…everything you want a heroine to be. Feyre just can't compare. It made it a lot harder to connect to the ACOTAR story the second time around.

And yes, I like the spicy aspect to it. It just resonated more with me as an adult. I think if I has read Throne of Glass when I was younger, it would have had a much bigger impact on me. Again, I really did love it, but I'd personally say ACOTAR is better in terms of the impact it had on me.

Both are good. Court books are more relationship based (imo) where as tog is more plot, plot, plot. I recommend tog first cause it's my favorite. Throne of Glass. I've heard from several people (and I can now say I agree with them) that it's a lot harder to get into ToG if you've read ACOTAR first.

Should I read Throne of Glass : r/acotar - Reddit

No in fact what little smut there isn't seen til empire of storms and it's very meh but throne of glass is very much a fantasy adventure base and it does have romance in it but it's not the main point of the story. It is a roller coaster of emotions but so worth it in the end. If you do read it here is what I recommend.

Y'ALL KNOW ME! Rowan all the way baby! I love how he goes from a complete asshole to a gushy little cinnamon role. And the way he fights for Aelin just makes my heart WEAK. WINNER: TOG. 3. Better first book: THRONE OF GLASS or A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES? Now for this one I have to go with A Court of Thrones and Roses.

Should I read the Throne of Glass Series next? Throne of Glass. It took me about 6 weeks to finish the 5 acotar books along with the audiobooks (love how they bring it to life). I had only read about 2 novels since reading Hunger Games back in 2013/2014. A lady at my work recommended ACOTAR to me and it prompted me to buy an e-reader.

It's all around better. ACOTAR will always, always have a special place in my heart, especially for the in-depth character development, and RHYS. Rhys is perfect. However, TOG is not only a longer series (So there's more packed into it), and I just prefer it. Thanks for reading!

Yaaaassssssss. throne of glass is SO GOOD. it's absolutely worth the read. I wouldn't say TOG is better than ACOTAR, the writing quality is a bit more consistent throughout the acotar series. ToG starts off kinda slow and then once you get into it, it IS INCREDIBLE! Def go for it. The relationships in it are tdf.

A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACOTAR) is all about Feyre, a poor huntress who accidentally kills a wolf. The wolf turns out to be fae, a magical human-like creature who is known to hate humans. Tamlin, the friend of the wolf Feyre just killed, comes to exact revenge. Instead of taking her life immediately, he offers her a deal: she has to live

same here! So ToG took me a while longer. One thing that helps with this is getting the audiobook instead. It takes about 23 hours each for the lady to read the entire book in the ToG series, as opposed to the 12-13 hours it takes for them to read ACOTAR. I found that listening to the audiobooks helps me slow down and take it all in.
