The Vocaloid Project Pad Packs (1-4) as well as the Gensokyo <word> series of packs, if you enjoy Touhou and/or Vocaloid. Seconding all of the Speirmix packs, if you enjoy pop music. For some harder stuff (ITG 9/10 up to 20ish, depending on pack): The Tachyon series (Alpha, Beta, etc.) are good packs for developing speed.

I would like to recommend the DDR Anthology Packs by u/hellkitechaos as really fun packs to play. Ben spiers, Jbean, LED complete mixes , ddr galaxy by Omari , and don't forget Coweye. Closely followed by Club Fantastic! Anything by Jubo, but his 2020 and 2021 packs are my very favorite.

Joined: Oct 2013. Since StepMania 5 hasn't really been what one should consider "beta" for a long time, we're dropping the label. Every further release in 5.0.x will be strictly backward compatible with this one, and the only API changes allowed will be additions. Get it while it's hot right here on the downloads page!

For pop culture music, the official DDR packs have some mainstream recognizable tunes mixed in. You can also try DDREXTREME.co.uk's 80's Mix and DDREXTREME.co.uk 90's Mix, along with Plaguemix, Dance With Insanity Originals, Albumix, and DDRei Tournamix. As for EDM songs for pads, it's pretty easy to find some.
