Thats the way we always go.We were there the 1st week of November and there wasnt any construction going on not unless they just started something there.There are a few sharp curves but not a bad drive and its not really steep at aleast I dont think so and the wind isnt bad unless there are storms in the area.You could go thru Knoxville then down towards Servierville into Pigeon Forge to Wears
