2. Bass. I personally don't hear big difference between maple and rosewood fretboards, but a body might have some impact on the final tone. I bet that pickups placement is more important (in 70's J-basses a bridge pickups is closer to a bridge). But someone more experienced should say sth about that, I'm not sure.
