Different Joint and differences | AzBilliards Forums

https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/different-joint-and-differences.251567/
Since most people prefer two piece cues, one question that comes to mind is a joint. There are many configurations, different threads and locking system, but mainly there are several types: · Wood on wood. · Wood on metal. · Metal on metal. Wood on wood delivers a softer hit with more control of a cue ball.

Narrowed my first cue down to Mezz : r/billiards - Reddit

United joints vs Wavy Joints. What's the difference? The united joint is a short pin that's 5/16 x 14. There is a metal female insert in the shaft. The wavy joint is a "big pin" and the shaft is often tapped wood. Also I did want to note that a Wavy joint looks similar to a Radial pin, but it isn't. One is a 3/8x8 and the other is a 3/8x9.

What joint type do you guys prefer? 5/16*18, Radial, Uniloc Qr etc.

https://www.reddit.com/r/billiards/comments/16en6wf/what_joint_type_do_you_guys_prefer_51618_radial/
Ive played with a radial, uniloc and 5/16*18 and honestly theres not that much difference it just comes down to preference. Most Viking and Meucci Cues have 5/16x18 threads, but you can specify 3/8x10 and others if you order a custom Cue from either of them. One of my favorites is a Viking super joint that is double threaded (inside and out

Micarta Joint vs Phenolic Joint | AzBilliards Forums

https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/micarta-joint-vs-phenolic-joint.260231/
Silver Member. Jan 13, 2012. #1. I'm looking to have a cue made for me. The cue maker I'm working with says that linen phenolic is more flexible/softer than Westinghouse micarta joint. The joint size is .850. The length would be either .25" or .50" capped. Most likely the material will either be sleeved or capped depending on my own preference.

See the Huge Difference Joint Placement Makes in Rigging

Kasper Larsson shows how simple joint placement can make a massive difference in deformations. Make a character, throw down some joints, weight, add rigging controls, and do it all over again. It's the joints and weighting that end up being a lot more crucial than you might think. Kasper Larsson shows exactly how placing joints in a correct

3 Different Types of PTO Yokes - Messicks

https://www.messicks.com/school/3-different-types-of-pto-yokes
So today, we're going to go and talk about PTO shafts. Yolk Joints. What I have here is the most common type of PTO shaft. This is called a yolk joint. A yolk joint is going to have two U-shaped yolks that go 90 degrees to one another with a cross that goes across the middle that supports them. Now those are going to move very freely when they

Solid Door Jambs vs. Split Jambs? - JLC-Online Forums

https://forums.jlconline.com/forums/forum/jlc-online-expert-forums/finish-carpentry/48664-solid-door-jambs-vs-split-jambs
Flat jambs have a standard jamb, 4 9/16" wide, with a separate door stop attached, usually stapled, and the hinge side of the jamb is the pre-cased side. Casing is stapled and glued, and has corrugated fasteners at the miters. Another casing set is tacked to the applied casing, with the profiles facing each other. A split jamb is a 2 piece jamb.

Control Arms - Flex Joints vs Rubber - JeepGladiatorForum.com

https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/control-arms-flex-joints-vs-rubber.32925/
I bought all 8 adjustable control arms. They squeaked and creaked from day one. After a year, the Flex joint side became loose on two arms. They sent me their new and improved Delron fix it kit. Before I tore into them to fix the Flex joints, the rubber bushing ends were cracking and falling apart. Worked great for throttle controlled lane changes!

The only difference is if you have a sway bar, then tabs are welded on for 1965-72 sway bars, and then 1973-76 sway bars. Spindles are different for 9 inch drum brakes, 10 inch drum brakes, 65-72 KH disc brakes, 73-76 drum brakes, 73-76 disc brakes.

Rabbet vs Pocket holes | Woodworking Talk

https://www.woodworkingtalk.com/threads/rabbet-vs-pocket-holes.186729/
Pocket holes are fast (especially since I don't have a space to use a router unless it's nice outside, and I don't have a table saw), so if I need to get something put together quickly they're a tempting option. There are also places where a rabbet would remove enough material to weaken the overall structure. If I needed it to be really strong

Rivet joints are also semi-permanent, in that they can be cut and removed, whereas welded joints are considered to be a permanent form of joining. Additionally, a welded joint produces a smooth finish, while a riveted joint will protrude from a structure's surface. Riveted joints and welded joints are two totally different ways to join pieces

Autozone lists for the rear shaft rear joint, a Spicer 5-7438x or a Spicer 5-1204x. Rear shaft front joint could be a 5-213x, 5-1330-1x or a 5-1330x. Joints, Blunts, and Spliffs: Their Differences Explained
