The tale of Kratos in God of War is the epitome of a Greek tragedy, as one by one everyone that he has ever loved or become close with perishes. This is a recurring theme throughout God of War, and it slowly takes a toll on Kratos in his conquest to defeat the pantheon of gods that he feels have destroyed his life.Greek mythology plays a critical role in the development of Kratos's character

Though some pantheons appear to be aware of one another, Kratos may be the only god to interfere with another culture's world.

He at least destroyed Greece, but the effects seemingly didn't affect the entire world. I mean when he killed Poseidon, the Mediterranean flooded, but that wouldn't touch the Norselands. ... How Kratos was able to travel to the Norse realms was never answered. Tyr (the Norse god of war) needed the unity stone to do it. Reply reply More replies

If anything survived Hades's death, it would have been Elysium, so it's possible that she's still there.
