The e-1 is simply too underpowered, too expensive, and has too limited a range to be competitive with the ICE alternatives. I really don't see the market for the e-1. The Ninja 400 has a 3.7 gal tank and, even though Kawi doesn't give the mpg, it would be easy for it to get 40-50 mpg which gives it a range of around 150-185 miles.
