Many years ago, I used to make "fan made music videos", I would just a song with scenes from movies or tv series and make it look like a music video. Sure, none of those videos could be monetised but that's fine for me, they were claimed by the music owner and I was happy with that, the videos stayed up and I didn't get a copyright strike.
