Amtrak's Southwest Chief was a great route with some great scenery. The roomette was a bit small but cozy, the crew seemed to have good attitudes and they were polite enough. 1. Re: Amtrak 2021. "Traditional dining" is supposed to come back to the Western long distance trains when they go back to daily in late May and early June depending on the train. "Flexible" dining will remain on the eastern trains where it was introduced before COVID and was not part of Amtrak's response to COVID.
