Angel Beats is the best 50-episode anime ever made. Unfortunately, it's only 14 episodes long. That basically sums up the problem with it. It's a good show, and I highly recommend it, but it's squeezed into an insufficient running time and really suffers as a result.

Overall though, it is definitely worth watching. It is short and the result is a rush anime. The only solution they can do is to not go too much into characters and focus on the story itself. But, Angel Beats is funny and emotional. If you really care about character growth then you won't see it out of this anime.
