Preply has been built in order to change teacher any time you want. Firstly, if you go with a tutor instead of a teacher with a university degree this stuff happens. For $25 an hour you should be getting more targeted work at your level, not stuff like that. You can try talking to them but also try another tutor.

Them and a few other companies in the industry have even taken money from some poor teachers accounts after completing lessons and have returned them back to some spoiled students. Yeah, Preply sucks. Your original tutor probably quit without notice because they too realised how much the platform sucks, and they got sick of doing unpaid hour long trial lessons and the high commission rate. Just know it sucks for the teacher just as much/more than it sucks for the student. Sorry about your lessons/money though, that sucks.
