Id say kacky is more calculated even though there's some luck involved sometimes. But shitfest is like downhills with random bumps everywhere or "regular" tracks with moving bumpers and shit. Only the best maps should be played in cotd. And map review is a way to see, what people like the most. If you remove many of the lower votes, there will be much more maps with a rating above 4.5 stars. Maybe it's easier for mappers to get their map as cotd map but theres the problem that it's also easier for bad maps.

CTF was boring because of the stupid spawn logic they have in recent games. You should be spawning out way easier and have to make the decision to go back or overextend. Recent games just allowed you to spawn at the back of the flag pretty much making the attackers have to get 2 waves of kills which is dumb.
