Turnip28 is a a similarly fun and silly game set in a fantasy version of the Napoleonic Wars where mutant tubers have taken over. Rules are also free atm. Mantic Games just released Firefight second edition, and it's very good for beginners as well, another sci-fi game. No digital rulebooks yet, though, last I checked.
