Agreed honestly. I've actually played a lot more ttwgs than just warhammer or gw games, and outside of the narrative stuff you get from 40k or AoS, they were some of the least 'fun' games there, both in terms of competitive balance, and ease of play. I actually ran a couple games with Crossfire, as a ruleset, and it was great fun.
