Apparently the whole Child/Chile misconception was because of the song list hand written by Hendrix. Originally both were Child, but at some point someone misread the second one and wrote 'Chile'. So the actual album contained 'Voodoo Child' and 'Voodoo Chile (Slight Return)'.
