And the auto-leveling, improved, sensors, prusaconnect integration etc: very nice, very usable. It's literally over 2x as fast as my mk3s so with the mk3.9 upgrade you get a better experience and you double your print capacity.. Even at full price for the mk3.9 kit that is good value imho. RE: Prusa Mk3 - 3.5 (or 3.9 or 4) upgrade. For 3.5 , the hotend is just re-used, so a new one is not included. For 3.9 and 4.0 the hotend and extruder are re-designed (nextruder) so are included. Note also if you go down the 3.5 route, there is currently no upgrade path to 3.9 or 4.0 from 3.5, so maybe another thing to consider.

As of now, there might be issues with running the REVO hotend produced by the company E3D on the MK3.5. While testing this configuration, we discovered that due to the strict checks built into the firmware, the initial self-test will fail.

On Monday, February 5th, we started to ship the Original Prusa MK3.5 upgrade kit, so the first units are already on their way to their new owners! The MK3.5 is a major upgrade with many useful features taken directly from the MK4. One of the biggest changes is the hardware-based support for Input Shaper and Pressure Advance to give your MK3S+ a massive speed boost.

There is a bear upgrade for 3.5. I used a bondtech mosquiso extruder 3:1. I also follow a tread for this setup and several people has it done. They changed some values in a special setup. With 3.5 you can use the standard firmware. Use google and you will find answers.

but MMU3 is supported with the firmware: March 1st, MK3.5 Firmware states "MMU3 support for MK3.5". Other people here just argued that single- color-mmu profiles in Prusa slicer are missing. So, I can't verify it, but it seems like the MMU3 works since over 2 weeks. About other issues, there is no known list. 6.

The upgrade kit was announced I ordered it. When I saw the price difference between the mK3 -> mk4 upgrade kit vs a full mk4 kit. I canceled the order and ordered a full mk4 kit. I haven't decided on what Ill do with the mk3 yet but the prices being so close I bet I could sell the mk3 and come out ahead with a new mk4 than bother with the upgrade.

Recently decided to upgrade my old MK3 to the MK3.5 for a quality of life upgrade but have had a number of problems since then. My MK3 was a workhorse that rarely had a failure but now I have a printer that just doesn't seem to be functioning correctly. The printer is currently running on the latest firmware (6.0.0).

Just finished 3.5 upgrade, it won't pass the fan test. Hi all. Hope you can give me some insight. I just finished my 3.5 upgrade and installed firmware 5.2.2. Everything looks good, but I ccannot get past the setup fan check. I keep getting an "Hotend RPM error". I went back and check all my connections, everything is setup correctly.

Ordered the mmu3 for my mk3.9, which will be a 4.0 when they have the x and y mk4 motors in stock. Then they gave me a $50 voucher for the delay in the mmu3. So now I just ordered the mk3.5 for $199 to upgrade my mk3s+, which will also have a bear frame shortly to go with the zorbiter 2.0 and revo. I have come full circle.

RE: Time to upgrade MK3S+ to MK3.9 / MK4. The MK3x to MK4 upgrade instructions have posted. Short answer, if you include the printing time of the parts, the MK4 kit would be faster, it comes with printed parts. I estimate the MK3.9 or MK4 upgrade takes the same time it takes to build a MK4 from a kit.
