I'm currently planning a long-distance move too and have done tons of reading into both companies. From everything I've read, PODS is pricey but superb quality and service, while U-box is cheap but terrible quality - expect broken furniture etc. Plus it seems like it would be hard to fit even a studio apt amount of stuff into 1 U-box, and getting 2 U-boxes isn't that cost-effective
