These client download links do not work, and keep coming back saying Failed, at least on my laptop they do??I do not care about foreign languages, and just want the game clients, as Blizzard has decided, in their infinite quest for more cash, to make the clients provided on your Battle.net account not work, unless you buy Reforged, which I do not want to do.

Install Warcraft III. Make sure to update to 1.32.1. Make sure your RoC CD key is attached to your BattleNet account (TFT key currently seems to do nothing). Finally play with classic graphics. In theory Warcraft III 1.32.1 is bloatware if you own Classic and have no need to use the HD mode of World Editor. I find just grabbing the PTR installer from the main download site is simpler seeing it contains both RoC and TFT together. The multiplayer is even still online (for how long, who knows).

Go play on W3C servers. They have an mmr system, so you will play against players with similar skill. You just have to play some matches to get to your real mmr. That means you will lose the first 10 games at least. I did the same, i started to play jn april, now im in bronze league with ~50% win rate.

Reforged is a forced downgrade for classic users. Now on to how to setup the old client. Find a download of Warcraft 3. (pastebin below) I won't link any downloads, however its not hard to find (just google warcraft 3 download). There are a bunch of ways to get it, whether it be direct download, torrenting, etc.

Technical Help. Currently, I have found 3 ways/methods to play warcraft3 frozen throne online. These software allows you to play warcraft 3 online: Gameranger (Uses 1.26a) - has quite a huge number of players. Eurobattle.net - (Uses 1.28a for custom maps / 1.26 for data) Utilizes battlenet GUI. Can host your own game.

There are two variables that you must change: resheight and reswidth. Make sure you change the default hex value to decimal value. Example - 24" widescreen with 1920x1200 resolution. reswidth = 1920. resheight = 1200. You may have to restart Warcraft 3 for the change to take effect. Thats all there is to it!

Lol. RoC and TFT were merged together and then turned into Reforged. Reforged in theory contains the content from both of them although due to development issues some features like ladder and custom campaigns are missing as well as their being some issues with multiplayer custom map synchronisation stability.
