My Kaiju is a tank and has had nothing break since upgrading a few of the parts with the billet upgrades and I beat the hell out of it. Steering rack, servo horn, arm mounts, hubs, and wider wheel hex are the parts I have done. You can get the parts from the Redcat website. It has been a seriously tough and super fun RC.

About six months ago we reviewed one of Redcat's newest releases, the Kaiju 1/8 scale Monster Truck. As soon as we got our hands on it, we put the truck through its paces, ultimately seeking to test the Kaiju's durability limits and true potential. After wrapping up our initial review, we were quite impressed with the Kaiju's performance

It is also the main reason why Traxxas is the better option when comparing Traxxas vs Losi. For reference, a Traxxas car can reach 40 - 50 mph in default. Let alone that Traxxas RC supercars, that can reach 100 mph in 5 seconds. Anyhow, reaching 40 or 50 miles per hour at top speed is quite decent.

Redcat VS Traxxas RC Cars : Parts and Components. I think Redcat has a solid and affordable lineup of vehicles. They control costs by using Hobbywing ESCs and brushed motors on many of their vehicles. Traxxas, on the other hand, installs a Velineon ESC and motor on their VXL and premium RC cars and trucks.

Everybody has competition. The big brand in RTR's doesn't seem to worry, but Redcat has been changing their gameplan to include high-quality products and cheaper prices. The new Kaiju setups up their Monster Truck game and looks like it's a direct shot at the big T.

My Kraton EXB was trash too though, the brittle body for the REDCAT, WD40, let it soak up. Arrma comes with lose screws and bolts, and diffs not shimmed, so when you buy it do a soft teardown. Check everything out and make your own decisions. Best quality control of all my R/C's has been Traxxas so far.

Traxxas RTR 1/10 Rustler with Water Proof XL-5. The Traxxas Rustler XL-5 is a two-wheel-drive car. Even though four-wheel-drive vehicles often have a better traction in free terrain, the Rustler's keen features make it well suited for driving off-road. It has full suspension, which helps to maintain control over uneven or rocky terrain and

Redcat teamed up with Hobbywing for the motor and ESC and kitted the Kaiju out with an impressive 2100Kv 1/8 scale brushless motor and a waterproof 8BL150RTR 150A 6S ready ESC. The greatest part about this combo is that you can fine tune the ESC with Hobbywing's QuicRun programming card. An optional item, but it's nice to have that option.

If you have to have something that can do both reasonably well then the Tekno SCT or Truggy kits are the best bet but the total cost is probably going to be more than $600 depending on your electronics. The Team Associated Pro4 SC10 would be a budget offering for a race/bash hybrid at $340. 7. Reply. InquisitorWarth.

Springer9158. β’. I have them both, you honestly can't go wrong with either. MAXX has some speed and is practically indestructible. Xmaxx is rugged especially with the trenchers and some upgrades, it flies through the air. My Maxx has actually held up better than the xmaxx so far. But they are both ultimate bashers IMO.
