I am now on the deck of the 'Ongiara', one of the ferry boats across theToronto harbour and am on my way to Ward's Island. Here are a couple of cars making the crossing, both appeared to be service vehicles. (meaning not private). Apart from 220 passengers, Ongiara can carry 10 cars or 8 trucks. It might not be sasy though, it was quite a tight squeeze as it is with just these two large SUVs
