They are actually just better, and they aren't really a huge amount more expensive than holosuns that try to be like them. You can get brand new eotechs for near $400.

Me personally, the eotech reticle is too much visual information and I shoot the aimpoint faster. I also think the aimpoint t2 has a better field of view. Which seems ridiculous because of the big eotech window…but the housing of the eotech is just too big and obstructs more of my view.

I am wondering if someone has some more specifics on the changes. I had heard before the debacle even started that Eotech engineers have struggled for years trying to fix problems with nitrogen leaking, optic having excessive zero shift, etc without much luck so it seems weird to me that the problems can be fixed so quick under pressure.

If you set on a holo look at the vortex gen 2 UH-1. Still looks cool imo and has a little bit better battery life than the eotechs. The new pa micro prism is worth a look as well. It's a prism so will be more rugged than a holo or red dot. Also looks cool imo.

The MRO wins in battery life easily and it's quite a bit more compact. Both are relatively bombproof for the average user. If I could only keep one, might stick with the EOTech for the glass. You could also look into the Vortex Huey, had a Gen 1 and it was solid. The glass was not as clear as the EOTech, but it's a tad bit cheaper.
