I had a Corrado SLC with the VR6, and the car was great. The VR6 was a great engine, with great power and a beautiful sound, the car was built by Karmann, so quality was very good, and the performance and handling were as good as could be had froma FW

The recipe for a successful sports car is simple: great looks, great name, and a vocal engine. VW's Scirocco replacement had gorgeous styling and an Italian-sounding name. But the supercharged G60 engine was a disappointment. Slower than the Scirocco 16V it replaced, the new-technology four-cylinder Corrado G60 didn't find many fans. Resurrecting an engine design […]

The Corrado honestly is one of my favorite Volkswagens, it looks good, it handled good and the VR6 engine was an interesting concept within itself, and a spectacular engine with a good powerband at a time in which most of the competition was just four cylinders, with only the Mazda MX-6/Ford Probe offering a V6, some mid-size sedans weren't making as much horsepower as the Corrado VR6 was

I have had the distinct pleasure of driving the Elise, and it really is something special. The ingress/egress problems and lack of storage confine the Elise and Exige to the category of weekend toys, which is why I never bought one.

The N600 was Honda's first car. Until then, Honda was mostly just a Motorcycle manufacturer. Since they already had an engine developed and in production, they put it into the N600. Since (some) motorcycle engines rely on high RPM to multiple it's torque for more horsepower, it makes the N600 a screaming beast.
